Pressure washing leads are a must for any company that is dedicated to this niche. Otherwise, how do you plan to close deals and get more customers? If you are worried that your pressure washing company isn’t doing well because of the services provided and them not being as popular as you thought, don’t be since they are essential services for any company that wants to have a clean exterior. Still, residential owners could also need several of your services to achieve specific results.
Now, pressure washing leads are easy to obtain through social media or internet searches, and they offer the most affordable rates compared to other lead sources. However, it is impossible to achieve results if you don’t know how to take advantage of those sources.
This is why we will lend you a hand and guarantee you’re able to generate more from now on with those methods to add to your strategies.
Keep It Simple & You’ll Get Results
It may not be a direct strategy or method to generate more leads, but it sure will help you to drop something most people believe: that lead generation is complicated because there’s a lot to handle when, in fact, it is only complicated because people make it that way.
Therefore, we recommend you go back to simplicity, one of the most important aspects of landing pages design and profiles on your social media or other platforms.
Focusing on landing pages for this occasion, we usually think they should be more informative than any other page on our website to ensure the visitor’s attention is on us.
However, people tend to be driven away when too many elements and features distract them from finding the information they want.
This is why the said of “less is better” is quite accurate here.
The conversion rates for your landing pages won’t be that high compared to other options, but if you keep the fields from 3 to 5, you have over 10% more than having more than these.
How can you simplify your landing page or everything overall? By only asking what is truly necessary, giving direct information, and avoid giving too much in one go.
Keep your contact forms or questions simple so visitors will be encouraged to fill them and provide what you need and make them take some actions you want them to.
Make Your Conversion Goal Clear
Clearness is more important than simplicity when it comes to generating leads, and this will be reflected on your website unless you are smart and clear enough to know how to influence it in your favor.
When designing a website and working with a web designer for it, this professional should be able to explain many ways to make everything more simple and clear. If you’re doing the work yourself, you can also search online for examples and ideas that can help you have a clear conversion goal and then move to simplicity.
What tools can you use to make your site clearer? How can you make visitors know what fields they need to fill?
One clarity tool is the asterisk, which indicates that a field must be filled out because it is considered “mandatory” as long as the visitor wants to fill the entire form or field you are placing on your landing page.
Help prompts are words that tell your guest what to put in the text box and give them a clear idea of what they need to do so the steps won’t mislead them.
These prompts disappear when the user starts typing. This is a great way to let people know how to enter their phone numbers, fill other fields on the forms, or provide information in other areas you have included.
Design is also affected by clarity, and you need to keep this in mind 100% of the time.
You can differentiate the background colors if you have sales information on the same contact page or maybe services, so visitors know where to place their attention for specific info.
This will make it more appealing to their eyes as well and help them feel everything but overwhelmed.
Basically, to bring in leads, your website doesn’t have to be an artistic masterpiece.
While this might be helpful if your website is a showcase for your skills as a web designer or entrepreneur, it’s not necessary for most businesses.
Your website should contain the following:
- Provide attractive imagery and photos of your services and previous projects.
- Connect with all social media accounts.
- Allow people to contact you and book services.
- Use text that answers customers’ questions.
- Have calls to action.
Be a Good Listener for Your Visitors
A brief section should be included where potential customers can leave comments. Why? Because they love being heard or read.
People want to contact you and be able to leave their opinions (good or bad), so you are able to improve certain aspects, and you should. After all, you’re trying to satisfy their needs and preferences to turn them into leads and future clients.
Although this is optional, it can help you make contact in your follow-up call and engage even an audience that isn’t part of your targeted one.
This comment section can also be added whenever they complete a form on your website to request a quote, sign for your newsletter, or take action you encourage them to take.
How can you include it? When your visitor clicks the submit button of the form, you can direct them to a thank-you page to confirm that they have submitted the form.
You can use this page to make them leave any doubts, questions, or critics and suggestions they have for your website, company, and services.
Some pressure washing companies also decide to sell additional services or to encourage people to share their sites.
Along with this, whenever someone provides their email for the form they just filled, you can help them give their opinions or just let them know you care about them with follow-up emails.
Email Marketing Never Gets Old
Now that we mentioned emails just a few moments ago, how can we not include them as part of the strategy you should implement for your pressure washing leads?
Implementing email marketing is one of the best ways to get new customers engaged with your pressure washing business. Anyone who tells you it is old and a waste of time clearly has a problem knowing what actually works.
Email indeed seems old compared to other options like social media. However, just think about it for a second: who doesn’t continue to use email?
Despite all the communication preferences, emails continue to be useful to share information and have access to services, which means leads are waiting for your emails to get converted.
A newsletter that offers a discount for their first pressure washing project will help to encourage them to give your services a try and finally convert them into clients.
Your website visitors can sign up for your newsletter to experience the magic of email marketing.
This newsletter can be sent in bulk to your targeted customers. So, start creating your own email campaigns with a free marketing service like MailChimp, and we can guarantee you that pressure washing leads will come your way.
Content Marketing Can’t Be Forgotten
Content is key, and many even say it is the king of generating more leads, and we have to agree with this because regardless of what platform you use and your website, all of them need to have quality content to be able to generate leads.
Focusing on a source you must know well by now, HubSpot confirms that quality content leads to drive more traffic to your website and convert readers into customers.
Basically, you win customers by playing your content marketing smart and focusing on posting quality one only.
In our opinion, this is the best type of pressure washing advertising because it is organic and you don’t have to pay at all.
Implementing content marketing has the ultimate goal of making sales. Content can include infographics and blog posts, as well as images and slide presentations.
Your content can be promoted on many sources where your customers will likely see it, and you can bet for different methods inside this one alone.
Video Marketing Is Booming
Pressure washing advertising must include videos if you want to convert your potential clients when they visit your channels and website.
Over 60% of the businesses have started implementing video marketing because they get over 50% of better results than other strategies, except for content marketing since this can be included in it.
However, we decided to give it its own space to avoid getting confused and understand its relevance.
Other percentages of businesses also believe that video marketing is important to their strategy because people are more interested in watching something than reading it.
Video marketing can be used to increase conversions and sales, increase ROI, build trust, appeal to mobile users, engage potential buyers, and boost conversions.
This is why sharing videos on different platforms can be a key part of online marketing for your pressure washing business, and adding them to your website can help others engage with more information and services you’ve included in it.
Build Trust & You Will Get More Leads
If people trust you, leads will do the same even when it is the first time visiting your site or knowing about your company.
Why? Because everyone is focused on finding a pressure washing company that is reliable based on other people’s opinions and experiences.
You need to show everyone that it is easy to work with you, access your services and that you care about them.
This can be as easy as avoiding asking for irrelevant information or pushing them to give any type of it if they don’t feel comfortable with this action.
Let them know that they will not have their email address sold to other companies when they provide it to you. You can ease their concerns about privacy by reassuring them that their email addresses are safe.
The same applies to other information and aspects of your company involved or related to them.
Incentives Are the Best
Flyers and advertisements can be used to attract customers to your pressure washing services, as long as they are interesting enough.
These are just a few of the many strategies you can use to get customers interested in your services by using the old yet good advertising we mentioned:
- Offer add-ons and freebies: Offer a free washing of an area in their homes or properties along with a contract. You could also offer a discount on the driveway or another specific service.
- You can offer package deals for both the shed and the house and find an alternative or similar option for commercial clients.
- Discuss the increased value of the property after it has been washed. Also, discuss how owners can avoid costly repairs. It would be great if you could add numbers and percentages that back you up.
- You can broadcast your accomplishments if you have cleaned many houses and buildings in one neighborhood. People who don’t choose to clean are likely to feel they have missed an important task.
- Limited-time deals may be offered. Offers such as 20% off for the next five days will bring many leads because people love anything that means less money to spend.
Be a Leader in Your Field or Niche
Prospects will be more interested in what you have to offer if you are a recognized authority in your field.
How can you do this? By working on your platforms and profiles.
Social media prospecting (for example) should be about providing valuable content that potential customers can read, listen to or watch before making a purchase decision.
Answering common questions from new customers on your blog, website, or outlying articles on third-party sites can help you share the knowledge that you have accumulated over time.
Potential customers will trust you more if you are an expert, and everything will get together with the rest of the strategies we have mentioned so far and the ones that are yet to be introduced.
You Need to Network
Business networking is a great tool to generate leads, even if you hate it or not.
Believe us, we feel you if you are more inclined to the “hate” part since we aren’t that social, but we understand its relevance and importance to guarantee the best results for a business.
Business events, gatherings, and small parties or meetings play important roles in meeting people, not only potential customers but also building relationships with others that could get you more leads.
Now, networking is not just about business events. It can also involve tapping into your personal network – both in the real world and online.
Networking also includes participating in forums that are relevant to your expertise. In other words, you should take it to the offline and online lives everyone has.
Start contributing to LinkedIn groups that relate to your industry in your area. People will be more inclined to recommend you to others if they know you and can get information about your company in those social groups.
Make Use of Social Media
Let’s face it, who doesn’t use at least one social media platform? It is hard to tell.
Owners of businesses can use social media to their advantage, and although this is something you must know about, we know you aren’t taking advantage of it enough.
Many surveys about how useful social media is have revealed that it was the most effective marketing tool for lead generation over the last four years.
Small businesses, in particular, perform incredibly well in social media because people are bound to give them a try compared to finding them on other platforms.
However, for this to work, your company must have a strong presence on Social Media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Use social media to communicate your brand’s voice and create engaging campaigns and if you find it too hard, just hire someone to manage your social media for you.
You Can Use CRM to Store Leads
A customer relationship manager (CRM) is a tool that stores all of your contacts with current and potential customers.
As you begin to acquire more clients, managing all of them in your email inbox can become a tedious task.
Most businesses opt for a web-based, more advanced tool, and many of which are free. They often integrate with your website and email service to store all the information coherently.
It isn’t an essential tool for generating, but it can help you organize yourself and know how to control the leads and clients you have at the moment and in the future.
For what? To ensure you are getting results as well.
Blog Posts (Yes, We Mentioned Them)
This is one that even when we mentioned it, we have to go over the details since many pressure washing companies tend to ignore it.
Companies overall believe that blogs are only for those monetizing them right away or aiming for specific topics.
However, they are one of the best sources for content marketing, and you can generate many pressure-washing leads with great content that has great SEO in addition.
Your brand will attract more people if your content is valuable and informative. Not only that, but regularly publishing blog posts will also help you rank in search engines like Google so more consumers can find you organically.
Focusing on quality over quantity is the key. Start with just 1-2 posts per week, and you can even reduce this number by 1 per week when you are getting the desired results since we know that blogging can be time-consuming.
Partner with an Influencer
Authority and reach aren’t easily built, but influencers can help you with the task if you take the time to partner with them as long as they are popular and their audience can find your services useful.
You can tap into their audience to introduce your brand to them indirectly, similar to a friend referring you.
Your target customers won’t feel pressured into buying because you are using a different approach. This will increase their interest and, ultimately, your sales and clients list.
However, influencers do not always work, so you have to try it out and determine if it is worth your time and money.
Guest Posts – Similar to Blogging
For a long time, guest posting was an effective way to obtain backlinks and quality leads. It was simple: find a trusted website in your niche, and offer to link to it with an article relevant to their target audience.
What happened to it? Partners noticed that low-quality content was provided by the guests only because they wanted to get backlinks.
While it’s true that guest posts will get you backlinks, that shouldn’t be your primary goal because spammy guest blogging will get you nowhere.
You should be focusing on the quality of your posts and ensuring that there is genuine value and put the backlinks second since the blog where you will be the guest will usually limit the number you can include.
You can build authority and position yourself as a thought-leader in your industry by including your bio section. Getting guest blogging done right takes time and effort. However, once it’s done right, the leads will begin to pour in.
Offer Free Content
Free eBooks and whitepapers are a powerful way to generate leads since people love anything that is free but also provides great information or value to them.
This one may take a little more time since the content is higher level, but a well-written eBook can continue to generate leads and pay for itself month after month, year after year (as long as the information is relevant and can stay updated for years).
It can be time-consuming, but you don’t have to invest all your efforts in this strategy alone since you can consider it more of a plus than an actual part of the essentials.
Will it help to generate many pressure washing leads? That we can’t deny it if you decide to give it time.
Share Success Stories
There are few things customers trust more than reviews from other people that have already bought your product or service, which is why opinions and reviews on platforms are used and searched very often.
Now, you can take advantage of this by introducing another type of review.
This strategy involves taking customers’ success stories and turning them into content that other people can see.
It helps to remove any lingering doubts that might be preventing them from buying your product or service.
When someone’s on the fence, a success story can put them at ease, knowing others that were experiencing the same problem found a solution, and they’re happy with it.
Talking about reviews, did we mention that over 85% of people trust recommendations from friends and family about products or services?
Your existing customers are a great source of referrals and can spread the word about your business, so you shouldn’t ignore this strategy and stay in contact with them.
Your brand will be referred to prospects and leads if you provide your clients with the best possible user experience.
This is a great way for your brand to be known by new ones and ensure others repeat whenever they need the services you offer.
A great experience can help you grow your customer base and your referral marketing.
The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Pressure Washing Business
All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?
The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).
Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:
The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.
Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”
You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.
The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.
The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.
To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.
Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.
To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.
By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.
An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor
You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.
HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.
They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.
If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.
HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.
Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services. They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).
Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?
They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.
However, you need to remember two facts:
- Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
- They don’t generate “natural” leads.
Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.
Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.
What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.
When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.
What Is Local SEO?
Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.
What does this mean?
Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.
To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.
If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.
Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.
“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.
Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.
Can My Pressure Washing Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?
If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.
Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.
Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.
How Powerful Are Organic Pressure Washing Leads from Google?
For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.
This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.
I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.
However, this business moved my earnings from five figures a year to a month in ONLY passive income while sitting comfortably at home.
On my laptop. Anywhere. Anytime.
You can look at one of the first sites I built back in 2016, and it continues making me over $1.000+ every month. The best part is that I don’t need to touch it or the rest I’ve built over the years, just like this digital property.
What Makes Lead Generation SO Alluring?
Here it goes: you can work from home.
The main issue with regular business opportunities is how much you need to invest in staff, equipment, or rent to have a place to sell your products or offer your services.
We all know the hassles of traditional businesses that involve regular expenses, which are extremely high. Can you afford it? I don’t think so, and even if you can, is it worth it? Now, it isn’t only about the money. You also need to put in a lot of work, and it isn’t only during the first couple of months or years. Usually, it is as long as you continue running it.
You can save yourself those headaches and bone-breaking tasks and expenses with lead gen since it is more about generating leads with digital channels—mainly websites.
Websites can be VERY cheap to build, and with many tools online, you get to do it in a couple of hours instead of days. Any virtual or digital business is scalable and won’t need constant maintenance.
So, let’s summarize this:
- You save money in regular expenses with traditional and most online businesses as what you need is yourself and digital properties (websites).
- You can bet on passive income.
- There’s no need to hire more people to get started.
- You can generate leads in multiple industries, which allows you to work on any niche you want.
How Can I Get Started in the Local Lead Generation Program?
Anyone can start and learn. That’s the beauty of this business model. I knew nothing about SEO, Map Listing, and everything I’ve mentioned so far. It is all about learning the skills, gaining experience, and deciding to take the step.
