I've been self-employed since 2015. Started driving Uber barely making $2K a month. Tried every online business model I could find — most of them failed. But every single one stacked a skill that built the next thing. That path took me from side hustles to building real systems that actually run.
Weekly insights on building, AI, and doing business on your own terms.
I've been self-employed since 2015. Started driving Uber barely making $2K a month. Tried every online business model I could find — most of them failed. But every single one stacked a skill that built the next thing. That path took me from side hustles to building real systems that actually run.
When you buy a home or sign a lease, here's what most people don't realize — the seller already knows the flood risk. The lender already pulled the data. The insurance company already has the full picture. None of them are required to share it with you, and all of them get paid when the deal closes.
I built HomeDataReports to fix that. Type in any address and we pull data from 10 sources including 5 federal agencies — FEMA, NOAA, USGS, EPA, and the Census Bureau — and put it all in one 30+ page report. Flood zones, wildfire risk, earthquake data, contamination, radon, hurricane history, school quality, neighborhood safety. Everything that follows the land, not the building.
Think of it like a CarFax — but instead of checking the car, you're checking the land your house sits on. Your home inspector checks what's inside the building, and they're worth every penny of that $300-$500 fee. We check what's outside. Together, that's complete due diligence. Save 50% on your first report when you sign up.
None of this happened overnight. I went from driving Uber and barely scraping by to building real businesses that actually run. Every failure stacked a skill. Every win opened the next door. Here's how it played out.
I tried everything. Dropshipping, affiliate marketing, Amazon FBA, a bunch of MLM companies. Most of it failed. But here's the thing — every single one of those failures taught me something I still use today. How to drive paid traffic. How to build a sales funnel. How buyer psychology actually works. And most importantly, the discipline of just shipping something even when it's not perfect. That season was expensive, but the skills I picked up were worth more than any paycheck I ever made before that.
This is the model that changed everything. I build websites, rank them on Google, and lease the leads to local businesses — kind of like digital real estate. You own the site, you own the traffic, and you get paid monthly when the calls come in. I scaled this to multiple six figures and helped thousands of students build their own lead gen businesses from scratch. It still runs today and it's what proved to me that building systems beats trading time for money every single time.
My faith drives everything I do — and that includes business. I've spoken on stages across 40+ states and internationally in Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico on topics like entrepreneurship, leadership, and what it actually looks like to build something that matters. I've built communities around helping everyday people take action on their own terms instead of waiting for someone to give them permission. The best businesses serve people first. Profits follow.
This is where everything came together. All the digital marketing, the systems thinking, the obsession with building things that actually work — it all converged into one product that solves a real problem. Every person in a real estate deal has the property risk data except the person writing the check. That's the problem. I built the whole system from scratch — 124,000+ lines of code, 10 API integrations — using AI as my development partner. Now it serves homebuyers, renters, and professionals across the country.
I write about what I'm learning as I go — building products, figuring out AI, navigating risk, and how faith shapes the way I do business. No fluff, just the real stuff.
Everyone in a real estate deal has the property risk data — except the person signing the check. Here's why that gap exists and what you can do about it before you buy or sign a lease.

No theory. No motivational fluff. When I get on a stage or jump on a call, I share the actual frameworks from actual businesses I've built — what worked, what didn't, and what I'd do differently if I started over tomorrow. I've also spent the last year going deep on AI — not as a concept, but as a tool I use every single day to build real products.
There are people chatting with AI and people building with it. The gap isn't skill — it's a system. Mondays I share mine. Fridays I break down what's happening in the world and why it matters to entrepreneurs, builders, and people who are one decision away from starting with AI.
