Outdoor kitchen leads have proven to be a challenge for any business in the niche. This is mostly due to the number of lead generation strategies that can be used to achieve the desired result. However, if we have to start by giving you some advice, you should focus your attention and invest time in several strategies at once. But first, determine which one will be more functional and cost-effective for your business.
Both offline and online lead generation strategies are worth the time, and you, instead of choosing one over others, need to come up with a plan that includes both sides. Otherwise, you will be missing qualified leads that could be attracted from specific methods.
Where should you start? Focus on building an online presence over the traditional one. Next, take the time to learn what you can do on your own and what needs a professional.
You can also choose to handle most strategies by yourself as long as you are qualified for that or have taken the time to learn.
Here, we will be sharing some lead generation options so you can work in your outdoor kitchen leads and generate high-quality ones.
It’s Time to Say “Hi” to Your Website
Your website is your online shop and office, where qualified leads can be attracted. No matter what niche you are in, websites are vital for every company.
It’s more than just design. Although it is important to create a beautiful website for your business, if it’s not optimized correctly, potential customers won’t be able to find it, and leads won’t be possible.
This means the design should be appealing and well-thought, but also consider the experience and optimization in your site so that it can be found.
Many people will claim they don’t know web design or that they are incapable of managing the whole project. However, it is possible to learn a lot or hire a professional to help you.
If you don’t want to learn the process, you have two options: hiring an SEO agency or a web design professional as a freelancer. The latter is usually the most cost-effective option.
You can also try to do it yourself. For it, it is best to start small if you are new to web design. This applies whether you hire someone to do it or you manage it yourself. That being said, these are the aspects you must consider to ensure the website is well-made.
- Quick navigation: sales-qualified leads can quickly find buttons and links. Don’t make them believe they have many options.
- Make your website professional: We aren’t asking you to neglect aesthetics. A website that looks professional will make leads more likely to give their contact information.
- Be clear about your purpose: Every page should be aligned with your marketing strategy goals and business objectives so that customers can understand what it is about and what you offer.
- Mobile users: As a large percentage of your leads are generated by mobile users, make sure that your website is easily accessible to them.
Focus on Optimization & User Experience
Focusing a bit more on this aspect, we found it important to divide it for two reasons: It can be a lot to take, and it should be in addition to the usual optimization elements.
Now, when you think about the best way to advertise your outdoor kitchen business, SEO (search engines optimization) should be the first thing to come to your mind. Why is this?
People all over the globe, including the United States, use Google to search for your services. It is easier for them to do this instead of going back to the usual option.
You won’t see the old-fashioned newspaper option anymore. Instead, it is all about finding what you need online.
This is when you begin to think about how they will find your outdoor kitchen business. The answer leads us back to the initial mention of SEO.
This aspect is important, and keywords, title tags, and heading tags are the ones you will be more familiar with when someone mentions SEO.
There are more factors than these three, however. Over 150 options exist to rank websites and ensure people find your company.
Below is a list of the most important ones that you need to start looking at if you want your site to rank high on the pages:
- Secured sites (HTTPS and HTTP).
- Mobile-friendliness (as mentioned previously).
- Page speed.
- Webpage content quality.
- Webpage content length.
- Local and social signals.
- High-quality backlinks.
- Images optimized.
- Domain age.
- User experience.
- Search intent.
Many managers and business owners will say that SEO and user experience do not go hand in hand. We find this absurd considering Google places more importance on user experience than ever in terms of ranking.
Your rankings will not be as strong if your user experience is poor. Even worse, we give them a few days before they fall dramatically.
Many SEO techniques can be used to optimize your site for leads and get high-quality leads for your business. Here, we will be adding the most crucial ones:
- Be a resource.
When hiring services, people are more likely to have an idea of their needs and be able to express them.
Potential leads have searched Pinterest, Houzz, and the internet looking for inspiration about the type of outdoor kitchen that they want. This is how you can help them plan their project.
You can begin by writing a blog about the pros and cons of some elements they want to use outdoors or any other topic that is relevant to the lead.
This blog will allow you to show your work and provide knowledge about how you can help.
- Professional photos are required.
The old saying “Show, Don’t Tell” will always hold true, especially in a business where aesthetics are over 50% of the important part. Hence, high-quality photographs will convey your message better than words since people will trust your previous projects.
- Details are important.
Think about how many companies use words such as “high-quality work,” experienced,” “attention to detail,” or “affordable.” It isn’t hard to decipher the answer; here it is All of them.
These phrases are so common that they don’t have any competitive differentiation value and lost what they were supposed to do: Attract more sales-qualified leads.
It is important to highlight unique and valuable items that will be of benefit to the reader. You can provide examples or stories of contractors who demonstrated exceptional attention to detail. You need to be as original as you can if you want to add value, and these common words won’t do.
- Optimize your conversions.
It may seem obvious, but many marketing agencies and companies overlook the importance of optimizing for conversions.
The layout, frequency, and location of your calls can have an impact on how many people take action.
Remember to include a contact page on your website. You can optimize everything on your website to perfection, but if conversion rates optimization is not done properly, you will be letting potential leads pass by.
Creative and Effective Landing Page
This is an extension of the strategy described above, and yes, we know your website seems to need a lot. However, it is a matter of working on separate elements until you achieve a specific result.
In addition, we wanted to give this its own space, as website lead generation relies on landing pages. These landing pages are so crucial that you should focus more on them in your design and optimization process.
Different landing pages serve different purposes. While some are intended to provide information, others can be used to connect leads with you.
Once your visitors have finished reading the content, it is time to convert them. You should be able to convert visitors easily if you have an effective landing page.
Conversion-focused elements are essential for these pages if you want them to work properly and convert well. Are you looking for some hints about what to include? These are the things that you should do:
- Anything that does not help you convert web traffic to leads should be thrown out since they are only distractions.
- Please describe the service that you offer and the benefits it brings to your customers. Otherwise, they won’t know if what you offer is what they need.
- It is essential to explain clearly what happens when visitors click on a button or link on your site. This will help you convert them into high-quality leads and then clients.
- It is crucial to know where each button should be placed to boost clicks.
- It is possible to reduce clicks to be bored when trying to reach a specific place or perform a particular action.
PPC (Pay-per-Click) & Google My Business
PPC advertising is a great way of generating leads. Even if you don’t have enough funds, it’s something that you shouldn’t skip. Also, PPC advertising does not require a lot, unlike many people believe.
These ads are displayed on the first page of search results for users who do searches. The word “ad” is in the title. This means that they are either paid for or contain paid content.
Keywords are what trigger PPC ads. Your ad will appear in search results, and this is when SEO and PPC have similarities.
To ensure your PPC campaign is successful, choose the most relevant keywords.
Keyword research is the best method to determine which ones are most used and where your ads can be placed. You can often use the same research you did for SEO and include those in your PPC strategy. However, we would recommend going over a second one.
Buzzsumo and KeySearch are great tools to add to your collection. They will save you time and money and help you target keywords that are mostly used in PPC and not SEO methods.
Long-tail keywords are the best choice, according to us. These keywords have three words or more and are bid on by fewer people.
Because they generate more leads, long-tail keywords can be more effective for your campaign. A person searching for “kitchens,” for example, might not be the right candidate for your company because you don’t know if they are looking for specific information or services.
Instead, they are more likely to find the right company if they do long-tail searches. These keywords will give you better results when they search for “outdoor kitchen experts in Miami,” for instance.
It is now time to place your bid after you have chosen them. But what does it actually mean to bid?
After you have chosen your keywords, you are able to bid for your ad placement. Your maximum bid is the maximum price per click you are willing to pay for your ad.
You can also gain an idea of the keyword value by doing keyword research.
Your ad’s success will depend on its maximum bid, quality rating, and placement. You can begin your campaign once you have won it.
PPC can be a great way to save money. Pay only when people click on your ads, after all. You don’t pay impressions, and you only pay to reach those who are interested in your company.
This will enable you to create a budget for your business. You can choose from $200 to $2,000 so that you can determine the best amount for your business. The amount you spend will affect your results whatsoever.
This strategy should be used to ensure that your ad appears above the organic, unpaid search results for outdoor kitchen contractors when customers use Google.
You are serving an area, city, or town as an outdoor patio contractor, in addition to the PPC options we’ve already mentioned.
Ranking on Google Maps could bring you more customers. Imagine a potential customer looking for an “outdoor kitchen contractor near me” on Google. Your business should be visible on the map in search results.
To get to the top, you will need a Google My Business listing and positive Google Reviews from past customers.
Downloadable Content Brings Value
Anchor content can help you generate leads and establish yourself as an industry leader. In addition, information about prospects can be collected using infographics, whitepapers, and eBooks.
In return, you can provide them with relevant information thanks to the format you chose. You can include downloadable content in many communication channels, such as blog posts, email campaigns, and social media posts.
What content should you use?
- Guides and eBooks.
Allow them to download guides or eBooks about industry topics. This will help you educate your target audience as well as generate new prospects.
Your eBook should be useful and informative. This will allow you to have meaningful conversations and help you move up the prospect pipeline.
- Checklists and infographics.
Statisticians and data are great content for helping business prospects. Many people love data and performance evidence, so they know you aren’t lying like most companies.
Create your own infographics to make your company a hub of information. You can give permission to company blogs to publish them and then link back to your site.
- Case studies.
Although case studies are typically considered “bottom-of-the-funnel” content, they can also be a great way to show your clients’ real success stories.
Did you know that 73% of B2B marketers use case studies in their content marketing campaigns? It is a valuable way to show value to clients and deliver results.
When working with prospects who are nearing purchasing decisions, it is important to have as many case studies as possible about your services. This will help you improve your lead scoring and lead capture and boost your lead generation efforts.
Social Media + Facebook Ads
Although Facebook ads are a great way for you to get high-quality leads to help grow your business, you should not waste time or energy using them if you don’t know how to do it correctly. This is the case more than half of the time.
Facebook’s advanced artificial intelligence capabilities will help you save money while maximizing your return on investment when, however, you know how to approach this. You can also target the people most likely to take action on your online advertising.
An outdoor kitchen company can use Facebook ads to reach a specific audience and generate leads.
Besides this option, other social media platforms work as well. Advertise on Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter. You can choose the most useful platforms based on your niche and goals.
Facebook, however, allows small businesses to compete against large corporations when it comes to leads. It opens the option to create Facebook Business Ads that target specific individuals and groups based on the personal data they collect.
Clients can be attracted to your content by sharing videos, testimonials, or blogs. Next, promote those posts to people who are not following your page but who meet the criteria of your target audience.
What role do Instagram and other social media play? You can complement the channels you use to grow your reputation and ensure you are able to work around any interest you create.
Guest Blogging Doesn’t Get Old
Guest blogging is an excellent way to generate referral business through content marketing. It also improves your SEO.
Many people don’t realize the benefits of spending a few hours each week or month creating content and posting on blogs.
We can give you a list of benefits if you’re uncertain about going for this option:
- Establishing new industry relationships.
- You can improve your SEO by acquiring industry-relevant backlinks.
- Traffic from the right audiences.
Guest blogging on websites that are related to your industry but not directly competitive with you can help you get leads, all of them being qualified ones.
Your site will rank higher on the local SEO market if you have backlinks from podcasters or write guest blogs, thanks to added additional authority.
For the best results, make sure your industry and geographical location are relevant to your guest-blogging site.
Referral Marketing for Outdoor Kitchen Companies
It’s more difficult to find a new client than it is to refer an existing one. Thus, it is important to spend more time nurturing leads and getting them involved in the service.
Referral marketing is an excellent way to grow your company without having to spend hours creating content. It allows people to share your information with others and helps you market your products and services. Moreover, this will save you time and money.
Referral links can also be created with a fixed commission for each new customer that is referred by the link.
Referring customers to your brand is easier if you already have customers.
Remember that the referral program should be mutually beneficial for you and your client. This means you need to offer them value and a “prize” for helping you get more clients with their referrals.
Don’t Forget About Online Forums
Many people renovate their outdoor kitchens with upgrades such as new countertops or new appliances. Others want to build a brand-new kitchen they can enjoy on their patio or just outside of the property.
Quora and other local forums are great sources for your type of business because they open the option to meet new customers. It is possible to compile a list with questions related to your business and then introduce them to potential customers so they can easily have the answers and follow the instructions you provide.
This will allow you to generate qualified leads faster than responding to every comment from customers.
Post a message encouraging others to ask about your project, services, or other aspects of your business. To limit the number of topics that can be posted, make sure you set the topic.
You should get at least one candidate interested in joining your project if you post it in the right place and time.
Going Back to Your Website
We believe that adding pages to your website can improve the quality of leads. Thus, we decided to say goodbye with additional information about them and tell you which ones you should include:
- Gallery Page.
This is where you can show off your high-quality workmanship (and remove any references from your site).
Self-educated customers will appreciate a central location where you display all your best work.
- Process pages.
When a customer feels confident and knowledgeable enough about your ability to produce the high-quality work they require, the next question is: “How can they do it?” This is where you will explain to them how you get things done.
It should be easily accessible from your website’s navigation. You should include a “Contact Us” button so that the lead generated by your website (because it is interested) can easily contact you without having to struggle, which could make it forget you.
- Conversion Page.
Marketing all boils down to staying in touch.
We believe a conversion page is the most important. It adds contact information to your system and allows you to analyze the buyer’s buying stage based upon the content. This is the same for services.
The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Outdoor Kitchen Business
All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?
The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).
Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:
The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.
Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”
You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.
The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.
The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.
To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.
Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.
To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.
By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.
An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor
You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.
HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.
They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.
If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.
HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.
Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services. They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).
Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?
They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.
However, you need to remember two facts:
- Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
- They don’t generate “natural” leads.
Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.
Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.
What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.
When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.
What Is Local SEO?
Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.
What does this mean?
Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.
To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.
If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.
Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.
“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.
Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.
Can My Outdoor Kitchen Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?
If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.
Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.
Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.
How Powerful Are Organic Outdoor Kitchen Leads from Google?
For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.
This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.
I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.
However, this business moved my earnings from five figures a year to a month in ONLY passive income while sitting comfortably at home.
On my laptop. Anywhere. Anytime.
You can look at one of the first sites I built back in 2016, and it continues making me over $1.000+ every month. The best part is that I don’t need to touch it or the rest I’ve built over the years, just like this digital property.
What Makes Lead Generation SO Alluring?
Here it goes: you can work from home.
The main issue with regular business opportunities is how much you need to invest in staff, equipment, or rent to have a place to sell your products or offer your services.
We all know the hassles of traditional businesses that involve regular expenses, which are extremely high. Can you afford it? I don’t think so, and even if you can, is it worth it? Now, it isn’t only about the money. You also need to put in a lot of work, and it isn’t only during the first couple of months or years. Usually, it is as long as you continue running it.
You can save yourself those headaches and bone-breaking tasks and expenses with lead gen since it is more about generating leads with digital channels—mainly websites.
Websites can be VERY cheap to build, and with many tools online, you get to do it in a couple of hours instead of days. Any virtual or digital business is scalable and won’t need constant maintenance.
So, let’s summarize this:
- You save money in regular expenses with traditional and most online businesses as what you need is yourself and digital properties (websites).
- You can bet on passive income.
- There’s no need to hire more people to get started.
- You can generate leads in multiple industries, which allows you to work on any niche you want.
