How to Find Medicare Leads to Achieve Success

With health being the top element in everyone’s lives, anyone would think that generating medicare leads isn’t that hard. After all, it is only logical that services around it are so requested, especially those involving the possibility of reducing expenses every time we have to visit the hospital or pay for any related bill.

In the latter, you enter the picture.

As a Medicare business or company, you play a crucial role in people’s lives by providing the tools and resources to pay for medical expenses, especially for elderly people.

However, despite the demand for services and companies like yours, finding clients isn’t that simple. If it was, you wouldn’t be here in the first place, or, maybe, you are just starting your business and trying to figure out how you can boost your company’s lead generation process and strategies.

Since this is a long topic that requires attention and details, we won’t jump right away in generating leads but rather help you by starting with the basics yet essentials.

Therefore, are you ready to read and leave this article by the end with all the knowledge you need? Perfect!

First, What is Lead Generation?

Are you familiar with what lead generation involves besides the simple concept of “bringing new clients or prospects”?

Well, to make it simple, lead generation is the act of attracting and converting potential customers and strangers into buyers or prospects, so you are right there with the basic concept.

However, knowing about lead generation is more than knowing the concept.

First, a willingness to try new tactics and combine them across multiple channels is key to exceptional lead generation. You won’t find one strategy that can lead to success for your business. It is likely that you will need to use multiple channels simultaneously and bet for a wide range of lead gen strategies at the same time.

This will help you to use your budget and time more efficiently, focus on the things that work, and generate better sales qualified leads overall.

There are two types of lead generation you must consider. However, they are usually considered the same when working on an entire lead generation plan.

Medicare Leads #3 -

In this case, we will still cover them to ensure you know the differences.

  • Inbound Lead Generation.

Today, inbound is the most popular method for lead generation because it is a reflection of how people purchase in today’s digital world. Thus, inbound is more popular than ever before purchasing a product or hiring a service like yours; the average consumer and client research it for hours.

They are searching for you. To be at the right place at the right time, you must be able to position yourself among relevant information.

Inbound can also be referred to as “Permission lead generation,” and it works for both B2B (Business to Business) as well as B2C (Business to Client).

The prospect is the one who chooses the type of interaction and the time. This means your prospect client is already at the top of the sales funnel when they first interact with you or take action in any of the channels you’re available in.

Inbound uses search engines optimization (SEO), social media networks, and other tools to connect prospects with your content.

It is more effective in converting sales because prospects are coming to you with an expressed interest in your content, and this means they are high-quality leads and not common visitors or users.

However, inbound lead generation can be challenging because it is difficult to stand out from the crowd.

How can you break this wall? Your audience will be interested in you if you offer a mix of educational and entertainment content. This will create a meaningful connection and show them you know what you are doing, what you offer, and, in this case, how your medicare services and options can help them.

Medicare Leads #2 -

  • Outbound Lead Generation.

Outbound lead generation is the opposite of inbound (logically).

It’s also known as “Interruption Lead Generation,” which is where you try to get the attention of potential leads, regardless of whether or not they are looking for the information.

You decide the type of interaction and when it should be conducted. This is not up to your prospects.

The communication should be received by at least a portion of your audience. They are likely to be interested in the offers and ready to take action by contacting them.

Inbound, on the other hand, is about customers finding you. Outbound is all about going out to find customers and the traditional marketing before the inbound options that are 90% digital.

Create & Maintain Your Website

While social media and other platforms are available today, websites are big options to boost your lead generation process, and it is the main place where your leads will go and more like your “lead gen” page.

Now, we know what you are thinking: “It is too complicated to build and maintain it.” However, this is far from reality.

Although a web page is essential to building a business, it doesn’t have to be complex. You should clearly explain who you are, your work, and why you are the best choice for anyone in the medicare niche (in this case). Meanwhile, keep the design and elements simple.

Provide information to people about your business and allow them to get in touch with you.

Many services can help you create and host a website that is simple and affordable.

Your site’s contact information will give you leads that you can use to start your conversations. Based on the pages that your prospects have submitted their information, you can start a conversation with them to hopefully convert your prospects into customers.

You can learn the principles of SEO and apply them in your online presence as well. In fact, SEO is crucial for any website if you want to rank it on search engines and make sure people can find it.

If you want to be found on search engines, you will need to learn the terms and phrases that people use to find your information or hire a professional to handle this 24/7.

Bet on Education Events

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult to hold Medicare educational events. While you may not be able to hold one in certain states or counties, this doesn’t mean that you should lose hope.

Depending on your carrier and state, you may be able to hold an educational event online, similar to Medicare sales events, or aim for a small face-to-face option with the right measures taken.

Once you have determined that you can organize an educational event, you will need to plan it.

These events are intended to inform Medicare beneficiaries about Medicare Advantage and Part D or other Medicare programs. When promoting them, it is important to clearly market them as educational to beneficiaries.

However, marketing isn’t actually the main goal with these events. Although there is potential for medicare leads thanks to them, your primary goal should be to provide accurate and complete Medicare information to your attendees and build trust.

It is important to ensure that your event is compliant with all your city and state regulations.

There are guidelines to be followed and what you can and cannot do. But don’t worry. It will all be easy if you are familiar with the guidelines and keep up to date with compliance changes that can be found on official sites on the Internet.

Choose Email Marketing as Your Next Lead Generation Strategy

Usually, companies and individuals tend to omit how crucial email marketing continues to be just because they believe parts like social media and general options like websites and other platforms are better.

However, although email won’t be your primary source of high-quality leads, it is part of the complement.

Also, email usage by seniors has increased quite a lot since people find it more comfortable to receive the information they need, and adults and young people who might be interested in your medicare services are also using this channel to get the information.

Thus, they are pretty prone to convert into leads and clients when you reach out using this media, and it is all about building a well-designed and established email marketing campaign.

Here are some tips to maximize your efforts and ensure you succeed in the process:

Make sure the font is large enough to be readable by people with vision impairments

  • You should ensure that the navigation on your email (how people visualize the information) is simple and clear, along with the one on your website for them to contact you when needed.
  • Use age-appropriate photos.
  • Make follow-up landing pages for seniors and all audiences you establish.
  • Retarget people who bounce with retargeting ads.
  • Be sure to target your leads and make them exclusive.
  • Optimize content and subject lines.
  • Use an email management platform to automate your efforts and save time.

Medicare Leads #7 -

When applying these tips to your email for marketing Medicare leads with your strategy, you should experience a high success rate.

Like many marketing campaigns, success in the long term and improvements to your CPA and closing rate are dependent on continuous optimization.

Even the smallest changes to subject lines or links can make a huge difference in open rates.

MailChimp is a great platform to manage your email campaigns. This allows you to segment your audience and improve the ROI of your Medicare email leads.

Form Partnerships with Other Professionals

When you are in such an industry or niche, you have many opportunities to form partnerships with professionals and companies in similar parts of the niche that can boost your efforts while providing the same benefits: Referring clients or building trust (maybe both).

Partnering is a mutually beneficial way to generate Medicare leads over time. However, it takes many years to create, which is why this is more of a compliment than an actual main strategy.

However, when you add this to your lead generation strategies for marketing qualified leads, you should be able to notice an increase in conversion rate thanks to the unified efforts.

But how does this strategy actually help? People and professionals will eventually meet dozens or even hundreds of agents selling similar products (like medicare supplements) or offering services. Although they might not be able to get leads to their services, they tend to refer to others, so the company or other business returns the favor.

Basically, you recommend me, and I recommend you.

This has two effects: It increases the likelihood of the agent recommending you send Medicare leads your direction for free and makes a professional impression on any lead you spoke to. Remember, your bestselling tool is your reputation.

Medicare Leads #8 -

Cold Calling Isn’t Dead

Cold calling can still be a great way to generate leads. This is especially true if you don’t have the budget to pay Medicare leads or can’t invest in other strategies that might require more investment in the long run.

For starters, you must ensure that your cold calling agents have the best chance of success. Here are some ways to maximize your cold-calling Medicare leads generation efforts:

  • Establish a dedicated cold-calling team.
  • Only transfer to agents if the lead is warm.
  • Be consistent and persistent.
  • Call during peak hours.
  • Follow up on leads.
  • Buy call lists and start with semi-qualified leads if you can afford them and find reliable sources to purchase those lists.

There are people who consider cold calling to be dead, and, in our case, it is a 50/50.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not effective. Nor does that mean that you can’t use cold calling to increase your Medicare leads. Instead, it is more about knowing how to approach this and measuring how it works over time to determine if you continue investing in this.

You should always look for ways to make your time more productive, such as closing leads or using your sales team to do most of the cold outreach.

You should spend at least some time improving your processes in order to make them more efficient if this is not possible.

Medicare Leads #9 -

Content Marketing is Gold

Content marketing is used by about 82% of companies to generate leads. This is due to the fact that they are able to use other strategies and methods simultaneously and even deal with some of them at once while practicing this content option.

Blog posts, infographics, and freebies are just some of the many content marketing options that you have, and they will all work as long as your strategy is smart and focuses on your target audience.

In the process, you will notice that you may find that different content types work better depending on your buyer profile and goals.

There are so many options to approach this that it can be a bit difficult to determine what content and format could be the best. So to help you a bit, these are some suggestions:

  • Use guides and articles.

High-quality blog content can help you get business leads since it can bring people to your website and make you an authority. However, before you begin writing, research thoroughly and optimize the text to ensure it is pertinent.

If you want your guide to be successful, it must be informative and educative.

If you don’t, people will abandon your content and consider it useless. Your site and leads will plummet quickly and without any chance of recovery.

Medicare Leads #10 -

  • Use a magnet.

Any downloadable content that you can use to help your leads can be given away for an email.

E-books and cheat sheets can be offered. You can also include examples, studies, or other pertinent information related to Medicare and your services.

You can do this by simply exchanging the information for their email address. This will allow you to build your client list and stay in touch with them.

  • Use videos.

Video aids in understanding information better. It has been proven to be more popular with all kinds of audiences, and people prefer to watch instead of reading. Facts.

They can also be created using the same ideas as your written content, provided they answer leads’ questions.

Make sure you include a link that directs your viewers to an opt-in form, lead magnet, landing page, or any other information that will convert them into leads.

Deep Dive into PPC Advertising

While SEO is a great way to increase inbound marketing leads and boost your efforts, you can also use paid ads to generate large numbers of sales leads, and while they are used responsibly, you don’t have to worry about the money you spent.

Paid ads are possible through Facebook, Google Search, and other paid sources that usually provide high-quality leads.

These leads are often captured on landing pages created for each campaign, where they will land once clicking on your ads.

Paid and online lead generation campaigns offer more targeted lead capturing forms. Because you pay for traffic, your leads should be as specific as possible.

This is a great way for you to reach the right audience and get warm leads to help your debt collection business thrive.

Pay-per-click (or pay-per-click) works when you are able to manage keywords and “purchase” them when bidding on search engines and platforms.

If you want clients to search Google for Medicare services or your professionals and options, you should rank your ads higher than the organic results.

It is essential to have the right education and knowledge before you can create a Google Ad campaign that works.

These are some important things to keep in mind and help you a bit:

  • You should target specific areas, towns, and regions when you offer your services. Ranking high on Google Maps can lead to better deals. It is therefore important to correctly rank yourself on Google Maps. You can achieve this by using the right keywords in your website and content or the Google Ads that will open.
  • Potential clients will search in this manner if you can attract their attention using the keywords they use.
  • Finally, make sure you are listed under the map in search results as well as the ads on pages.

To rank high in Google Maps, you must have a Google My Business listing as well as positive Google Reviews from past customers.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to spend a lot of money bidding for them or ranking your ads.

Instead, you should research keywords correctly and based on where you are located, such as “medicare company Los Angeles” or any other name. Preferably, focus on long-tail keywords, which are those with 3+ words.

Medicare Leads #12 -

Mobile Optimization of Your Website

Mobile browsing has seen a significant increase in popularity over the past few years. It is now at the top of users’ preferred methods of reaching websites and other platforms.

Optimizing your website can help you increase your reach and allow clients and leads to easily find you.

You should easily scroll through all aspects of your website, including graphics and CTA buttons, images, and design, as well as animations across various screen sizes.

Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test tool is the best and easiest way to determine if your website is mobile-friendly. Ask 2-3 family members and friends to do simple tasks while you surf on your website.

While you can do it with your own devices, it is important that you consider the impact of multiple perspectives and experiences on how your clients and leads will view your site.

Throughout this process, you can test everything, including the layout of product pages, call-to-action buttons, and forms, as well as your videos and other options.

This information can be used to improve your website and increase traffic around the mobile-friendly changes you will make.

If done incorrectly, it could cause technical problems on your site, which could lead to a site not working properly.

This could lead to higher costs and result in you losing deals. Thus, it is a better option to leave this task to a professional.

The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Medicare Business

1- local lead generation, how does it work - blog

All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?

The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).

Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:

The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.

Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”

You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.

The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.

The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.

To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.

Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.

To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.

By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.

An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor

2- check out how home advisor generates leads - blog

You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.

HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.

They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.

If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.

HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.

Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services.  They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).

Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?

3- do paid ad platforms work, like facebook and google ads - blog

They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.

However, you need to remember two facts:

  1. Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
  2. They don’t generate “natural” leads.

Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.

Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.

What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.

When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.

What Is Local SEO?

4- learning local seo - blog

Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.

What does this mean?

Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.

To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.

If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.

Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.

“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.

Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.

Can My Medicare Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?

5- using local lead gen strategies for any business - blog

If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.

Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.

Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.

How Powerful Are Organic Medicare Leads from Google?

6- the power behind organic leads - blog

For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.

This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.

I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.

However, this business moved my earnings from five figures a year to a month in ONLY passive income while sitting comfortably at home.

On my laptop. Anywhere. Anytime.

You can look at one of the first sites I built back in 2016, and it continues making me over $1.000+ every month. The best part is that I don’t need to touch it or the rest I’ve built over the years, just like this digital property.

What Makes Lead Generation SO Alluring?

7- the smartest online business today - blog

Here it goes: you can work from home.

The main issue with regular business opportunities is how much you need to invest in staff, equipment, or rent to have a place to sell your products or offer your services.

We all know the hassles of traditional businesses that involve regular expenses, which are extremely high.  Can you afford it? I don’t think so, and even if you can, is it worth it? Now, it isn’t only about the money. You also need to put in a lot of work, and it isn’t only during the first couple of months or years. Usually, it is as long as you continue running it.

You can save yourself those headaches and bone-breaking tasks and expenses with lead gen since it is more about generating leads with digital channels—mainly websites.

Websites can be VERY cheap to build, and with many tools online, you get to do it in a couple of hours instead of days. Any virtual or digital business is scalable and won’t need constant maintenance.

So, let’s summarize this:

  • You save money in regular expenses with traditional and most online businesses as what you need is yourself and digital properties (websites).
  • You can bet on passive income.
  •  There’s no need to hire more people to get started.
  • You can generate leads in multiple industries, which allows you to work on any niche you want.
