Acquiring Commercial Cleaning Leads Is Easy With These Proven Steps

Commercial cleaning leads can be a bit more difficult to generate than home ones as many businesses, and many companies are trying to close deals with them. This means it is a matter of how competitive this part of the niche is.

Though it isn’t impossible to generate those high-quality leads, and instead, you just need to take the time to learn about the right lead generation strategies and how you can integrate them into your entire plan to achieve positive results.

Some companies in the cleaning niche decide to purchase leads. Our recommendation is that you can invest in some paid leads, but organic lead generation will always be key. Thus, go over the strategies we will share with you and ensure you are able to get qualified leads, not random ones without any value.

Don’t know anything about this? Below you will find the answers and best options.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #2 -

Build Your Website

Many people search the Internet for cleaning services. It is important to establish an online presence for your company and make sure you are able to reach potential clients.

Most house cleaning businesses forget the importance of having a website and not relying on social media. In this case, what must the website have then?

They should contain information about you, your services, and your pricing ranges. Another good idea is to include testimonials and reviews from clients to highlight your work.

Online marketing strategies can be a great way for your website to shine and help you increase your chances of getting a high-quality lead.

This will improve your business awareness and make it easier for customers to find your company.

Don’t rush the building process. You should also aim for a simple yet sophisticated and easy-to-use site that is both user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #3 -

Your Website Should Be Conversion-Focused

Your website for commercial cleaning is the heart of your lead generation efforts for cleaning services. It is your business card, brochure, service description, salesperson, and all-around marketing tool.

This will help customers see your services’ value and give them an incentive to choose you over other companies in the same niche. This is why we recommended the previous option.

It encourages visitors and leads them to contact you. A strong call to action should be included with contact information. Be clear about your services and the area you serve.

A clear layout, strong use of white space, and an open design will create the right impression for your business.

Once you are done, do some user testing. Compare your website to the competition. Is your website clear in communicating the value of what it offers? Would anyone choose to work with you?

Commercial Cleaning Leads #4 -

Do Not Forget About Your Reputation

If you search for cleaning services in major cities, you will notice that reviews play a significant role in ranking content and helping you to get more qualified leads.

Google My Business listings include star reviews for cleaning services in certain cities or areas. When searching for cleaning services, the best organic results are HomeAdvisor and Yelp reviews.

Search engines can use reviews to help them find the best cleaning services, so it is important that you manage them well.

You must therefore make every effort to encourage your clients to leave reviews.

The best way to do this is to ask businesses to leave reviews after each service call. Remember not to be pushy.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #5 -

Make Sure to Invest Time in Blogging

If you want to bring more commercial cleaning leads to your site, you may want to start a blog despite how useless it looks for some companies. However, what you don’t know is that blogs can help you optimize your website.

But you can’t just include any content. Make sure what you share is valuable for the visitors and solve some of their problems. Now, if you still have some problems with the basics about how to boost your blog content, we can help you by providing some tips below:

Blog with Facebook Advertising

A Facebook pixel will be placed in your blog posts. It will be tracked every time someone visits the page.

There are two options available: you can either retarget visitors to your site with ads or start collecting data so that you can create a lookalike audience based on those who have visited the blog posts.

This can be done by segmenting your market by creating blog posts that are value-based on your website.

Keep in mind that people reading your blog posts are interested in what you have to share. Suppose they read about cleaning tips for keeping their businesses and places clean; this will make them, most likely, interested in cleaning services.

If they weren’t interested, they wouldn’t even read the full blog post.

When creating a lookalike audience of people who have visited your posts, you should focus on your Facebook Pixel. This will enable you to attract more traffic and sales-qualified leads for a lower price and a higher conversion rate through your Facebook and blogs.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #6 -

How To Choose Your Blog Topic

Although you might believe that blogging is a great way to showcase your cleaning business, you might still be unsure about what topic you should write about.

This is actually a great question that you can easily answer as long as you have a clear lead generation process.

Keyword research is a resource you should be aware of. This may seem daunting, but there are many options for keyword research that you can do for your blog.

Extensions are also a great tool that can help you track how many searches a term gets each month. They also allow you to determine the type of content that your target audience is searching for online.

While it is important to create content, it does not make any sense if nobody is actually looking for it.

You can use keywords to find the content that best fits you. It is also useful to take inspiration from other websites and blogs.

Simply type in the post title you believe will help your target market answer a query or deliver better results.

Scrolling to the bottom of Google’s homepage will provide suggestions for search terms or topics people are looking for. You should try to give solid answers to those questions in your blog posts, and it should help you to get more sales-qualified leads.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #7 -

Google My Business Helps Leads Find You

You are not interested in you finding them, but how to use Google My Business for your commercial cleaning leads to find you.

A Google My Business Page for commercial cleaning businesses is a great way to establish a good lead generation strategy since you can attract local traffic and close more deals as your company focuses on locations where you can offer the services.

Many cleaning business owners don’t have a Google My Business Page or don’t optimize it properly. You should start using one if you don’t have it as soon as possible.

This is vital because it will help you rank higher in Google Maps every time someone searches for the services near your location.

It’s not enough for your page to simply rank higher. You must also optimize it and get positive reviews to make it stand out even more.

We’ve already talked about the benefits and uses of reviews, so to sum it all up, we will only say that a cleaner’s chances of being called increase if they are highly ranked on Google Maps and have a lot of positive reviews.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #8 -

Popup Quote Form Is Needed

A quote page is a great way to get more high-quality leads for your commercial-cleaning business.

A popup with a call to action to receive a quote is an effective option to make people want to clean their business places by using your services in specific. You could also offer special incentives, such as a discount, along with that popup to ensure you are capturing them.

Most people visiting your website for the first time may not be aware of your unique features and advantages over other competitors, so this is important.

You can offer any type of incentive or discount, but the most vital thing is to make sure it lasts. People will remember you for sure when focusing on the latter.

You should also make sure that the incentive is tied in the long term with one of your cleaning services. For example, a three-month service contract could include a free commercial cleaning.

Whatever offer you make, you must still make it a profit even if the offer is totally free or at a reduced price.

It is not a good idea to offer something too complicated or time-consuming, and this is because one of your main goals is to limit your expenses in lead generation in order to avoid spending too much money.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #9 -

Connect With Other Companies

Networking with other companies in the cleaning industry is another way to get new qualified leads.

It is a good idea to meet the local floor washers if you have a commercial cleaning company, for example, or similar businesses that could work as referrals later.

Small businesses tend to recommend service providers to their clients. You could also help them by doing the same.

Pay special attention to ongoing local events. They can be a great way of connecting with your community.

Another way to generate positive publicity is to give your cleaning services free of charge to charity or non-profit organizations. That way, you can also give back to the community for all their support and hard work.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #11 -

Get Insurance to Protect Your Business

To be signed up and work for high-quality leads that are looking for commercial cleaning services, your cleaning company must have insurance since it shows that you are trustworthy and serious.

There will always be potential unhappy customers, lawsuits, and accidents. And sure enough, they can all lead to the closure of companies.

Cleaning businesses often purchase these policies:

  • General Liability Insurance: Cleaning businesses need general liability insurance. Clients who slip on wet floors or are harmed due to any element or factor of your work will hold you responsible for it.
  • Janitorial Bonds: If you or your employees are accused of theft or lose the property of a client, you can apply for coverage.
  • Workers’ Compensation Insurance: It is important that your cleaning company hires its first employee as soon as possible, and to ensure they are properly compensated, this insurance will pay for the medical expenses of injured employees as well as their lost wages.

Offer Outstanding Service During the Bidding

While pricing and length might be factors that cause cleaning contracts to be canceled, bad customer service shouldn’t lead to you losing customers.

Leads will come to you if you behave politely and can also offer great services. This combination of results, referrals, and reviews will make them more attractive.

This is an important consideration when trying to get cleaning contracts.

When bidding on a cleaning job, communication and details are key. To discuss the scope of work, take a tour of the property together with your lead.

Prepare a detailed budget to ensure your client is fully aware of the costs involved in the work, and then follow up after you have submitted a cleaning service bid or a quote.

Never miss the chance to learn why sales-qualified leads choose to work with a different company. This information can help you to improve your cleaning services and secure future contracts.

Establish A Referral Program

Satisfied customers always make the best referrals to your company. They can lead to new chances to sell your services. Ask your most satisfied clients to recommend you to their friends.

Try to set up a referral program in any manner that fits your business model. Offer discounts to clients who refer others.

A recent study found that referred clients have an 18-28% higher lifetime value than clients who find your company through another source.

Share Value-Added Content Without Cost

Share valuable content for free on your company’s blog and social media such as Facebook or Instagram.

Keep in mind that you can’t build a lasting relationship with your clients if you constantly try to sell them something.

Instead, try sharing practical tips, information, and advice to help them solve their problems. This way, they will notice your company’s value and start asking themselves if they are willing to pay for your services.

Customers must have at most 6-7 contacts with your company before they finally open their wallets and decide to trust you.

This non-exclusive, free content can be used to keep current and potential clients in the loop. Now, try guessing whom they’ll refer when asked for a referral to a cleaning company.

You don’t need to be a professional writer or a seasoned blogger to do all of this. With just a brief explanation of the topic, you are all set to go.

If you have photos, include them and ensure you ask for permission to use them. You can also make a video using your phone or utilize the same content of your blog but adjusted to other channels.

Commercial Cleaning Leads #10 -

Share Your Unique Traits

What makes you different from other commercial cleaning companies? It is important to differentiate yourself in a highly competitive market.

Don’t forget that clients want to see what makes you different from others to determine your value and why they would choose you first.

A good way to do it is to evaluate your competitors. Social media, online reviews, and word-of-mouth are all good ways to get people’s opinions about your competitors.

Make sure you know well what the client’s needs are. A well-made marketing campaign can help you communicate clearly to your customers how you can cover those needs.

This will make you an expert in your field and allow you to introduce your team (bios or videos are great). Clients will be able to identify whom they can trust.

Use all cards in your hands to ensure the best possible outcome. No matter what strategy you use, make sure you can rely on them all to accomplish the final goal of the strategy.

The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Commercial Cleaning Business

1- local lead generation, how does it work - blog

All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?

The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).

Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:

The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.

Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”

You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.

The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.

The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.

To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.

Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.

To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.

By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.

An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor

2- check out how home advisor generates leads - blog

You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.

HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.

They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.

If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.

HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.

Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services.  They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).

Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?

3- do paid ad platforms work, like facebook and google ads - blog

They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.

However, you need to remember two facts:

  1. Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
  2. They don’t generate “natural” leads.

Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.

Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.

What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.

When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.

What Is Local SEO?

4- learning local seo - blog

Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.

What does this mean?

Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.

To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.

If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.

Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.

“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.

Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.

Can My Commercial Cleaning Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?

5- using local lead gen strategies for any business - blog

If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.

Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.

Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.

How Powerful Are Organic Commercial Cleaning Leads from Google?

6- the power behind organic leads - blog

For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.

This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.

I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.

However, this business moved my earnings from five figures a year to a month in ONLY passive income while sitting comfortably at home.

On my laptop. Anywhere. Anytime.

You can look at one of the first sites I built back in 2016, and it continues making me over $1.000+ every month. The best part is that I don’t need to touch it or the rest I’ve built over the years, just like this digital property.

What Makes Lead Generation SO Alluring?

7- the smartest online business today - blog

Here it goes: you can work from home.

The main issue with regular business opportunities is how much you need to invest in staff, equipment, or rent to have a place to sell your products or offer your services.

We all know the hassles of traditional businesses that involve regular expenses, which are extremely high.  Can you afford it? I don’t think so, and even if you can, is it worth it? Now, it isn’t only about the money. You also need to put in a lot of work, and it isn’t only during the first couple of months or years. Usually, it is as long as you continue running it.

You can save yourself those headaches and bone-breaking tasks and expenses with lead gen since it is more about generating leads with digital channels—mainly websites.

Websites can be VERY cheap to build, and with many tools online, you get to do it in a couple of hours instead of days. Any virtual or digital business is scalable and won’t need constant maintenance.

So, let’s summarize this:

  • You save money in regular expenses with traditional and most online businesses as what you need is yourself and digital properties (websites).
  • You can bet on passive income.
  •  There’s no need to hire more people to get started.
  • You can generate leads in multiple industries, which allows you to work on any niche you want.
