ASEA is a company that promises to build the life of your dreams by selling its products. What they don’t tell you is that recruiting new members under the same promise is what makes you money. Since ASEA works with the MLM or multilevel marketing structure, you can’t avoid working in bringing new members. After all, it offers a commission program that allows people to make profits with a downline and based on how much that it sales and recruits.
However, before joining, it is crucial to understand the plan established by the company in specific. Since all MLMs vary in their commissions, you must determine whether the plan is worth your time or not.
Joining the company also varies, and you can either pay more money or less for others.
The process of understanding an MLM company can be a bit exhausting due to all the tables and ranks it works with.
The ranking is basically the levels you climb when you sell and recruit. The higher, the more you earn in commissions.
This aspect of the company, along with the costs and products, will be reviewed to help you decide if it is a good choice to make money.
What is ASEA? When It All Began
ASEA Global is a multilevel marketing company that sells science-backed, refined skincare and health products.
The company’s founders loved the term “asea,” which means “from the sea,” as it symbolizes rejuvenation and healing.
Current management includes Charles F. Funke (CEO) and Jarom Webb (President). Although the company was officially launched in 2009, it was established in 2007. In addition, the outlook for the company is optimistic.
ASEA has seen significant growth in the ten years of its existence. This is unlike other MLM-based companies.
Although its growth seems to have slowed down, ASEA’s past successes are sufficient to suggest that it can continue to enjoy such great success in the future. All this is based on statistics provided by the company to the public.
The company is well-known for its many products, but the Cell Signaling Supplement that is available at the store is what most people are drawn to.
We’re certain you might not be interested in the products and services the company has to offer, but rather in how you can make your money.
We will need to discuss several details in order to learn a bit more about the opportunity.
How ASEA Truly Works
We need first to find out if you are familiar with MLM or a multilevel marketing organization beyond the previous introduction.
This business structure is designed to recruit members to become distributors so that you, the recruiter, can earn commissions based on the company’s plan.
Although MLM companies may have different terms and conditions, the system works the same.
- You join to take part in the direct sales system and become a distributor. You don’t get paid a salary but percentages based on sales and recruitments.
- Although you can make money selling products, recruiting people to become distributors is the best way to do this.
- You must build a team to earn a percentage on the things they sell and the people they bring to the company as well (your downline).
ASEA requires you to look into the particular commission plans they use. You won’t be able to know how much you will earn if you don’t.
However, keep in mind that the MLM structure is based upon levels, as we previously mentioned.
Your rank increases according to your accomplishments, which means you will have more opportunities to make more money as well as access to additional benefits and bonuses.
This doesn’t seem to be a problem so far. But, if you begin to look a bit closer, you won’t climb by selling products.
It is usually only possible to climb to different ranks depending on the new distributors you bring in.
How You Can Work with ASEA
After clarifying how the MLM works in specific, we can jump to the company itself. There is a long road ahead of us, so be prepared if you want to know the answer to a common (and logical!) question: Is it really a way to make money?
Let’s begin by learning how to join ASEA, and then we will break down the pros and cons.
To make money, it is necessary to subscribe or join the program. There are four options for ASEA MLM, but all of them end up being focused on purchasing a box:
- ASEA Advancing Live: $120, 1 case (each box comes with four bottles).
- Basic Plus: $240, comes with 2 cases and the same number of bottles.
- Builder: $370, 4 cases.
- Express Builder: $720, 8 cases.
Now, what do these cases and bottles mean?
The company sells skincare products. But the main focus of the business is saltwater bottles that can be used as nutritional supplements or wellness products (according to the info given by them).
The memberships do not include any alternatives to the bottles you are selling. Any other products that you wish to sell must be purchased separately.
Although the boxes are already a bit of an investment, this is not all.
ASEA is a business opportunity that allows you to sell products online without visiting people to make sales, which is one of the reasons people decide to join.
You will be provided with a website that you can use to sell your products and bring in clients. The catch is that you will have to pay $15.95 per month.
Even if you don’t use the website or find other ways to sell products, you must still pay the membership fee to be an active member. To keep active and receive commissions, you must also manage a minimum of recruitment or sales points per month.
You must sell at least one case (4 bottles) per month.
What happens if your product doesn’t meet the standards? You must pay for the products that you have acquired to sell or the total amount of money to stay active.
Commission Plan: How to Make Real Money
ASEA does not want you to sell products or handle more than one case per month, even when you can earn some extra cash with this.
They are only interested in the recruitment process, as we mentioned during the MLM explanation.
The commission plan they have created includes sales earnings, but the whole purpose is to pressure you to bring in members who will make good money.
This is a quick breakdown to help you understand the ways you can make money:
- Retail commissions: You will receive 20% on each sale and bonuses depending on your level within the program.
- Preferred customer bonus: This is a more direct way to refer to the “bring people, and you make money” method of making money. $25 is earned each time a case gets purchased by one of your recruits.
- You earn $20 every time a recruit buys a pack (a member already in your downline).
- Team commissions: Recruits you bring to your sales team will also be part of yours. You will be paid 10% per month based on their total sales volume.
Most MLM compensation plans and the conditions they set to earn those commissions or percentages are kind of hard to understand. This is also done on purpose by the company.
This will be our example to show you why ASEA is difficult to make money and the only way to generate income, despite the options available above.
Let’s say you don’t recruit anyone and instead focus on selling cases. You sell one case, meet the monthly standard, but you still have to pay the membership fee and continue purchasing more products (yes, you need to pay the fee).
Even if you sell eight bottles per month, the 20% percentage will still be negligible. This is because the percentage based upon the base price of the skincare products or bottles is high.
You will be amazed at how easy it is for you to make money if you concentrate on recruiting people and not just selling. But what happens if you don’t have enough people interested? To earn commissions, they must purchase products each month.
This is why it’s not easy to make money. You have to constantly recruit people, pay fees and buy products. And you must also handle a small commission.
Selling the products won’t make you any money. If you want to make real revenue, then you need to build a team of at least 20 people.
ASEA says that the average annual income of people who sell products is $300, which is nothing based on the effort you will invest as well.
The Pros and Cons of ASEA MLM Company
We will summarize everything and make sure you fully understand our message. But to set it straight, ASEA isn’t a company you should be considering seriously.
Pros:
- The products don’t have bad reviews.
- The company is legal and has been operating for over a decade.
- Their commission plan does allow them to make money by selling products.
- You can work from home and without having any employees.
Cons:
- Each bottle or other product is quite expensive. Thus, hard to sell.
- For all your effort, the commissions and payments are far too low.
- Memberships and fees always apply and take most of your earnings.
- No matter how many products you sell, it isn’t easy to make a living thanks to them.
- It is impossible to make money if you don’t recruit people.
- Even when it is legal, it is questionable how the company works similar to a pyramid scheme.
We are not trying to make ASEA MLM look like a scam. But you should determine if it is or not.
The company provides authentic products that you can access and then sell. They also offer a guarantee that the products work.
This is an opportunity for the company to make you money, buy products, and encourage you to find other members.
Our issue with it is that you won’t be a salesperson for products. You will need to convince people to sign up and spend hundreds of dollars on boxes or other products to earn commissions. Also, to recruit their families and friends.
The final problem lies in the low commissions.
It’s not reliable, and you will only get a small income. This is not worth your time, effort, and money. You just need to go back and take a closer look at the compensation plan.
Red Flags from ASEA
If you still have your doubts about why we don’t trust the company, you can actually catch different signals by yourself. However, we will be adding there here:
- There is not enough information on their website and only add some details on their water products. Nothing more.
- The company doesn’t provide much information about the commissions and how the ranking or plan works either. You have to kind of figure it out yourself.
- Following the first red flag, you can’t find more products on the page. The only one displayed was Renu28 and different versions of the same saltwater.
- The site contains no information whatsoever about their flagship water product.
- There are no indications of how the water has been approved legally.
- These products can be expensive for any MLM company. They are not priced because they contain a “proprietary ingredient.”
Paying for a $35-per-bottle of saltwater is also a bit ridiculous, and many people can agree with us.
According to their benefits list, it aids cell renewal and recovery as well as improves athletic performance. This takes us to a comparison many people have done: It sounds just like any energy drink.
Considering it is a saltwater product, the company should also mention the possible side effects of sodium content. Any company does this with similar products.
For instance, you can have a read at the content of any of the bottles. The Redox Supplement contains water and 123 mg sodium. This is 7% more than the safe limit as defined by FDA.
There have been some reviews and comments about how consumers who have never used the product before would likely experience mild digestive problems or certain levels of sodium when running tests.
What About the Common Aspects?
Here, we will be answering some of the most common questions that the company itself has answered. However, we are going to include our observations in them as well:
- Is ASEA approved and regulated by the FDA?
According to ASEA, the water has been registered as a dietary supplement and does not need to be approved. However, it is regulated by FDA. There is a big difference between dietary supplements and medicine.
However, this makes us question if they registered as a supplement in this category to avoid any regulations. Considering the content of sodium, it pretty much looks like it.
- What is ASEA water made from?
ASEA water bottles have two main ingredients listed on the nutrition labels: Distilled Water and sodium chloride. ASEA is mainly made of saltwater.
Although the company claims that its redox signaling molecules have healing or restorative properties, it is unclear whether this claim has been validated by independent peer-reviewed scientific research.
- Does ASEA Water work?
ASEA is said to increase immune function and promote overall well-being. These claims may not be true, so make sure to do your research before you decide to use it as a supplement.
- Is ASEA Global a Scam?
ASEA Global isn’t a fraud. It is actually a legitimate MLM company that sells and distributes legit products. To be considered a scam, they would not have made it this far.
Instead, they have an A+ BBB rating and are accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). However, this doesn’t mean the company cannot be hiding something.
The red flags mentioned above make us doubt a lot. In addition, several countries around the world have banned MLM companies and the structure itself by the simple fact that it makes people lose money over 79% of the time.
What You Can Do to Make Money
Businesses are all about collaboration, building relationships, and connecting with people. However, MLM companies or structures are not the right way to go.
It is not a good idea to rely on others for income or spend a large portion of your income just to be active, even if it is difficult.
You will also need to spend a lot of your time convincing people and making sure that the products are being sold.
It’s exhausting, and there are other options. So why choose ASEA when there are so many choices? You don’t know what you should do and are willing to spend $200+ just because you don’t know where to start? Let us give you some ideas.
Local lead generation is an investment opportunity, but it doesn’t require a fortune.
You don’t need to convince others to make it work. The best about it? You have to work hard in the beginning, but you can enjoy passive income later.
You can do this online, and it is quick as well. This means you won’t have to go to a store or rely on the traditional method.
This idea is to build or create websites for clients (which you will contact directly or bring your way) and ensure that they rank well on Google so that organic traffic (free) can be generated.
This traffic will generate leads that are relevant to your interests and can be converted into potential customers for the clients you’re helping.
These leads must take action on the websites of the companies to be considered qualified ones.
It’s easy to understand: You bring customers for your clients and get paid for each lead that you generate.
How to Make Passive Income
It is hard work mixed with being able to relax. You do need to invest energy, time, and money, but it will bring the best rewards.
There are no membership fees or additional ones to pay, and the investment is not as large as you might think. It takes effort to find clients, create websites, and generate leads. However, it can be done with a specific budget.
Once you have mastered all of this, start to build websites that generate leads for clients. Then, wait for the payments.
It’s not expensive to maintain the websites. You don’t need to do extra work, but you have to check once or twice per month. If you find clients, you can create as many sites as you like.
It is not easy, however, to acquire the knowledge and skills you require.
A course or program that can help you increase your bank account by adding more money will be needed. Several professionals in lead generation offer them but choose the one you can consider reliable.

The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Business
All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?
The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).
Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:
The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.

You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.
The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.
The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.
To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.
Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.
To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.
By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.
An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor
You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.
HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.
They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.
If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.
HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.
Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services. They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).
Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?
They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.
However, you need to remember two facts:
- Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
- They don’t generate “natural” leads.
Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.
Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.
What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.
When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.
What Is Local SEO?
Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.
What does this mean?
Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.
To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.
If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.
Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.
“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.
Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.
Can My Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?
If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.
Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.
Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.
How Powerful Are Organic Leads from Google?
For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.
This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.
