Juice Plus+ is one of those opportunities to make money by selling products and recruiting people. However, does it live up to the expectations and promises? There are so many MLM and multilevel marketing companies available that it can be overwhelming to try to find the best. Despite working around the same business structure, they all differ in commissions, terms, and earnings.
In the case of Juice Plus+, it promises members to earn at retail prices but also based on the downline with commissions up to 25%. However, how easy is it to become “rich” according to the company?
Before answering that question, it is crucial to go over the most basic ones: Do you know Juice Plus+? Are you familiar with Juice Plus+? Do you want to work with it? What do you need before you jump to the opportunity? We will be going over the smallest details in this Juice Plus MLM review, and you’ll get the answers to determine whether you should invest in it and be a partner.
What is Juice Plus+? – A Veggie Vision
Juice Plus+ claims it is a multilevel or network marketing company for health and wellness that sells vitamins to help people get the nutrition they require on a daily basis.
Jay Martin, the founder of the company, founded it in 1970. It was originally called National Safety Associates (NSA) because they sold water purifiers as well as fire detectors.
Martin changed its vision and named it to reflect a more direct approach towards health and wellness products. Juice Plus+ was created to offer health products and beverages.
The company’s core concept is to provide products that taste as good as fruits and vegetables. Juice Plus+ is actually the “next best thing” to eating fruits and vegetables.
Their main goal is to help you live a healthy lifestyle and not rely on common foods.
Thus, you can look at the products available as supplements or complements. After all, the company mentions that all of them can supply or substitute one of your veggies and fruits daily. There shouldn’t be a need to eat much more than just having Juice+ products.
However, can they truly replace the actual vegetables and fruits? That is something to find out later.
How does Juice Plus+ work?
Remember that this company sells vitamins and juice (like its name kind of suggests). Sales are managed by independent distributors that don’t get paid a salary but rather aim for independent earnings following the MLM’s plan.
To understand how Juice Plus+ works in specific, you need to know how MLM does.
It is important that you know that MLMs and direct sales companies do not constitute fraud. It’s not unusual to believe that they are.
This business model is built on a pyramid structure and is very similar to what we know as a pyramid scheme. However, an MLM strategy or company is an alternative.
This structure is based on the idea that you need to create both a downline and layers of recruits for the company you work for.
Companies can now focus on revenue generation through independent distributions, selling products, and recruiting distributors to increase their commissions. This is all without the need to pay salaries.
The pyramid scheme works in the same manner. Although you are expected to sell products, the main goal is to build a network and help your downline grow.
The only difference between illegal pyramid schemes and real MLM companies is that the latter actually offers products and services. On the other hand, Illegal pyramid schemes focus only on recruiting others with offers that aren’t real, and you end up paying money until “something” arrives. It will never be in your hands.
Multilevel marketing, like Juice Plus+, is legal. However, it doesn’t mean that it can’t conceal something.
Many companies that have the same structure promise the money of the universe, but many of them won’t let you earn more than $100 per month.
Join Juice Plus+: Prices & Fees
MLM companies operate with a membership fee. Usually, they also offer starter kits people need to purchase right after getting signed in.
You can offer some products from the starter kit, which includes some of your company’s products to sell them and get started.
They are usually not included in the cost of membership. They must be purchased separately and require more investment.
Juice Plus+ memberships start at $50. However, an additional $35 must be paid for each year’s renewal.
While the price is not prohibitive if we consider these two expenses alone, the issue lies with the terms and conditions.
You don’t have to reach a certain number of sales or make a certain amount of money in order to remain a multilevel marketing distributor.
However, you are required to use the products for your own personal use. The company does not cover these products. Instead, you will need to purchase them.
You don’t have to spend a minimum amount to purchase products—however, the cheapest option to buy costs $18.
Juice Plus+ “forces” you to use the products but also offers specific ones you are meant to test above others: Vitamin capsules. These capsules are typically more costly as their price goes around $75.
You will need to make this purchase monthly. Add all of these costs together, and you’ll end up spending around $900 per year.
You won’t receive marketing support, website, packaging, or any other options to promote your products. You will need to pay for the expenses and keep increasing your investment.
This is why Juice Plus+ doesn’t look like that good of an idea based on what you spend and what you get. Is it really a win-win situation?
Juice Plus+ Products You Can Sell
Let’s not get distracted by the details of the compensation plan or how much you can earn. Instead, let us focus on the products.
Juice Plus+ customers have many options.
There are several general categories: nutrition bars, drink mix, chewable, and capsules. Each comes with a specific amount. Prices can vary.
Capsules again play the leading role as the most well-known product.
They were the company’s first products and have since become its signature one due to being the main focus for campaigns, ads, and offerings.
The company has created three types of capsules over the years: fruit blend, vegetable mix, and berry mixture.
According to the company, these capsules provide whole-food nutrition from 30 fruits and vegetables or specific ingredients.
Capsules packages start at $75 per month. You can choose to either purchase the monthly (4x) option or the $300 full-payment alternative to add additional boxes.
The 240 capsules per bottle mean that the boxes will last approximately four months. To follow the diet, you must take one of each capsule every day.
Juice Plus+ claims that they improve nutritional intake, heart health, stress management, immunity system, and skincare. They are more nutritious than fruits and veggies.
They offer a range of prices for the rest of the products:
- Nutrition bars – for $35 per month
- Drink mixes – $35 a month.
- Chewables – $12.75 to $77 per month
Making Money and Compensation Plan
Let’s now get to the fun part. How much can you earn?
Juice Plus+ is an MLM model, and we have mentioned this several times: You have two options for making money. Either sell the products at retail to earn a commission or recruit others to build your downline and get bonuses. Or both together.
The downline is essentially a sales team that acts as distributors. The products they sell and the people they recruit make you money based on commissions or percentages.
Juice Plus+ claims distributors can make over $12,000 per year by focusing on numbers. Is this true? It’s not.
Commissions for telling products are low. Even if you have a sales team, they won’t pay that much:
- Retail sales profit: About 12%.
- Commissions for your team: 6% – 22% It all depends on the PVC of your sales team and your rank within the structure.
- Bonuses: Based upon the number of people you recruit and how many they sell.
The ranks are the company’s levels and climbing positions. Higher ranks mean more commission.
You can now see the compensation plan for each rank and level so that you can get an idea of what you could earn.
We must emphasize this: Don’t let your guard down.
MLM compensation plans can be confusing. Even though all options and commissions look great, they’re not.
It is impossible to climb the ranks without recruiting members. Even if you have a downline, they still need to sell more and recruit more.
You have over 20 members, and you still need to recruit more. It can become a never-ending cycle, which will not lead to you reaching a high rank any time soon.
Why We Don’t Like Investing in Juice Plus+
We are sure you understand our position about the company so far: It doesn’t seem right.
Juice Plus+ is one of the many MLM companies out there. But when compared to other options like Amway, Avon, and more renamed companies, you notice it doesn’t offer at least something worth trying.
We’ve learned that there is nothing else to be admired from this MLM aside from having actual products.
There is always something to save. But you must consider the pros and cons of the situation to appreciate it fully.
Pros:
- Most reviews of the product are positive.
- The company is legally registered and functions as a multilevel marketing firm.
- Research that has been proven.
- Most products are made from natural ingredients.
- Membership fees and joining costs are low.
Cons:
- Monthly subscriptions can lead to expensive products.
- Hidden monthly costs + products.
- Fake information about people earning over $12,000 per year looking at the notes in the commission plan.
- Poor commission plan.
- People often fear distributors from the business.
- 98% of MLM businesses aren’t financially viable.
- Spending almost $1,000 on expenses is tough.
- Marketing and support are not included.
- It is not possible to have a steady income.
- If you don’t recruit many distributors, you won’t make more money.
Juice Plus+ looks good on the surface. Its questionable marketing strategies and commission percentages make it difficult for us to invest our money in it whatsoever.
Health Claims: What Is Juice Plus+ Good for?
Juice Plus+ is sold by a company that claims it has serious health benefits, but there is not always scientific proof to support these claims.
If you are still considering joining it, we want you to keep these in mind so whenever you get close to the business, you can notice how right we are:
- “A better nutrition.”
Juice Plus+ claims to increase nutrient intake. Multiple studies have shown that it may raise blood levels of important nutrients, but not as effective as the company promises.
Instead, it has been proven that eating fruits and veggies directly is much more effective and efficient than pills.
These nutrients offered by the capsules can all be found in fruits.
Now, on another note, it is not clear whether Juice Plus+ is more effective than cheaper supplements that provide these nutrients, such as a standard multivitamin.
- “Better heart health.”
Juice Plus+ claims to increase markers of cardiovascular health. For this, it enters the Homocysteine market, which is a risky one.
Homocysteine levels high are associated with an increased risk for heart disease.
Some studies have shown that Juice Plus+ may lower homocysteine levels, but this effect has not been observed in other tests.
The study of Juice Plus’s effect on heart disease risk factors, such as high blood cholesterol and hypertension, has produced mixed results. Multivitamins can also be associated with lower homocysteine levels.
- “Reduction in stress and chronic inflammation.”
Inflammation is a natural process that helps your body fight off illness and heal itself.
Long-term inflammation, also known as chronic inflammation, can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease and certain cancers.
Vegetables and fruits are high in antioxidants, which may help prevent chronic inflammation.
However, mixed results have been found in studies of the antioxidant properties of Juice Plus+.
One test-tube study showed that 1 gram Juice Plus+ powder, which contained equal amounts of Orchard and Garden mixes, had the same antioxidant power as 10 grams of fruits and veggies.
Furthermore, supplements can have lower antioxidant levels after digestion
Some studies have shown that Juice Plus+ can reduce DNA damage and oxidative stress. However, other studies don’t support this claim.
For the 10 grams fruit, it can be considered like Juice Plus+ is winning, but there aren’t reliable studies but rather those conducted by the company itself that can support this either.
- “Immune function.”
Juice Plus+ claims to improve immune health. Some studies have shown that supplements may increase the activity of certain immune cells.
This response doesn’t always correlate with better immunity or less illness whatsoever.
Another study found that healthcare workers who used Juice Plus+ experienced 20% fewer sick days than those who used a placebo.
Now, the question is, from whom are those studies? You guessed it! Juice Plus+. Thus, it is hard to actually believe what they “confirm.”
- “Improves skin health.”
We keep following the same format with many people studying it, but they are rather for the company itself.
However, very few customers have argued that the products have helped with acne or other marks on the face. Thus, it may be true.
Now, in addition to the previous claims, we have to focus on how the company focuses on its marketing messages. Are they real or just indirect scams? We’ll find out:
- “The Next Best Thing to Fruit and Veggies.”
There are two things wrong with this phrase: Why would you have something less good than fruit, and how do they claim it to be the next best thing when the products’ grams of vegetables and fruits are actually low?
- “25 servings of vegetables.”
It doesn’t contain 25 servings of vegetables but rather one at most.
- “It is a ‘whole-food.”
Is it really? It is highly processed and then placed in a container. It sits in a warehouse for who-knows-how-long, and then it is in the pantry shelf for who-know-how-much-longer.
Although the product is made from whole foods ingredients, it is not a complete food.
- “It’s organic.”
It doesn’t matter. The capsule contains so little plant product that it doesn’t matter if it were sprayed with high levels of pesticides.
- “It healed many people.”
How do you verify that testimonials are real? And how can you tell if they’re exaggerating to sell more products?
How can you tell if the benefits are due to the product or other factors such as the person eating better, sleeping better, taking less medication, starting to exercise, or if they’re merely a result of the product?
These capsules may cause a placebo effect. That’s okay, but it can be expensive.
This is where the problem lies when people claim that something can cure or help with medical conditions.
People might delay seeking treatment for serious medical conditions, such as depression or cancer, and instead wait to see if Juice Plus+ will fix their problem. If medical treatment is delayed, the problem could become more serious and even fatal.
- “It’s easy!”
Juice Plus+ is designed for busy people who want to improve their health. In other words, to make it easier to eat your fruits and vegetables.
These capsules won’t help you learn how to cook or love fruits and vegetables. Parents giving their children gummies as a substitute for fruit and vegetables is what the company is aiming for.
Although we agree this is much easier or less time-consuming, it isn’t healthy. Although we can understand the desire to provide nutrition to children, these gummies or products are a temporary (and expensive) solution.
It doesn’t expose children to the food they need or teach them the important eating habits that will help them grow up to be healthy. The same happens with adults. So, easy doesn’t mean good.
It’s okay to take it if you enjoy it, have the money, and it feels right for you.
But if you are looking for the healthy and best option, going for veggies and fruits without relying on pills is 100 times better. Also, it is cheaper.
Do not be seduced by clever marketing. MLM businesses can make or break your business. If you feel unwell, consult a doctor (this is in case you decide to give the products a try).
In the case of going for the company to be part of the independent business owners of this multilevel marketing (MLM), go back to the previous claims.
You will notice it won’t be a good option to sell the products based n how they don’t work. Also, just think about being something else instead of joining the multilevel marketing distributors part of the direct selling association that isn’t earning a penny.
We Like This a Bit More…

The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Business
All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?
The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).
Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:
The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.
Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”
You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.
The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.
The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.
To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.
Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.
To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.

You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.
HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.
They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.
If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.
HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.
Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services. They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).
Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?
They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.
However, you need to remember two facts:
- Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
- They don’t generate “natural” leads.
Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.
Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.
What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.
When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.
What Is Local SEO?
Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.
What does this mean?
Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.
To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.
If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.
Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.
“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.
Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.
Can My Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?
If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.
Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.
Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.
How Powerful Are Organic Leads from Google?
For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.
This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.
I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.
