Lead generation is crucial to any business, no matter what industry you are in. But learning to generate more cabinetry leads for your business (both online and offline) is essential now more than ever in the cabinetry industry.
To generate them, there are various methods, including lead magnets and content marketing strategies. However, knowing which ones are the best for your company in specific will take some practice and error as well as using several ones at the same time.
This discovery of the best options and strategies can be exhausting, time-consuming, and a waste of money for many cabinetry businesses. However, there are a few you should definitely add in order to obtain the desired results.
Here, we will make sure to cover the essential ones so you can either start, improve, or stop wasting your time when generating more cabinetry leads for your company.
Create Your Website & Ensure It Is Mobile-Friendly
Most cabinetry companies face a problem with website design, but it is quite common in every field and business as well.
But what is the problem in specific? Many people don’t know what to do to make something unique and simple that will bring in more leads since their websites are the main place where visitors will arrive and where you have to spend most of your potential leads.
You can take a look at businesses that have been in business for many decades if you don’t believe our claims. Their websites appear outdated, or maybe they don’t even have one.
However, if we have to mention a problem in specific, that would definitely be these two:
- Most websites are not mobile-friendly, which means that many users and potential clients won’t be able to access them since they lack the required features to optimize them properly and ensure they work without delays and lead generation for more cabinetry leads.
- Many websites are already outdated in terms of design and appearance. You need to keep it simple yet remember that an unaesthetic site will make your possible clients be bored or don’t even trust what you want to offer them.
Even though you’ll need to spend some time searching for the right developers and designers, updating your website is simple and quick with the right team and concepts in mind.
You can start to form an idea or even create one based on certain features. But the design should be straightforward.
A website that converts visitors to leads is what you want, and ensuring it is generating on all sides, mobile users or not, is your main focus as well.
Did You Create It? Make Sure to Optimize It
Although a website may seem sufficient for most businesses, it is often overlooked that optimization is necessary to ensure that visitors continue to come to the site. You don’t waste your money maintaining a domain and space that isn’t worth it.
After all, it isn’t only about having the site there and waiting for the magic to happen. If you miss visitors and do nothing to improve this, you won’t have any leads.
We know you think that digital marketing and generating leads is hard work. But, each effort will be well worth it.
After you’ve completed the creation of your website, it’s time to optimize it. The best and most efficient way to do this is through SEO (search engine optimization).
SEO can ensure that your website is found in search results when people type keywords relevant to your industry. This will allow potential clients and leads to find you before other competitors.
Just remember that SEO is a multi-step process, just like web design. There are key elements and factors that each strategy should be considered.
Among the ones you need to handle will be keywords, local SEO, content marketing, and many more.
Focus on Your Reputation & Reviews
Providing services that involve working with people’s goods or getting a bit close to where they are or what they own will need you to build a reputation in which they are sure you will do a great job and won’t damage or steal something from their homes or properties in this case.
Although this was quite extreme, the current security and safety situation is extremely delicate, which is why your potential clients are reading many reviews off and online to make sure they are finding the most reliable cabinetry service in the area.
For you to be the top option, you need to establish a good online reputation to ensure your company has the best chance of generating leads.
Start by creating your online profiles and providing all information to your visitors.
The best way to get reviews is to ask your clients to leave them after you have completed the service or repair.
While some might not want to do it, others will. You can always offer them an additional discount for their time or something that encourages them to take a few minutes for it.
Sending a follow-up email to your regular clients or email list can help you get more reviews on certain platforms, such as Facebook and Google.
Get testimonials from top clients to help you improve your website.
This strategy will work best when you are clear about the service and include your full names in the profiles for people to leave reviews.
Keep in mind that your service quality is what will make you a positive persona. Don’t let this fool you. It’s about providing top-notch services and not only buying your reviews.
Content Marketing Won’t Go Anywhere
Many believe it is a waste of time or that content marketing only refers to what they post on social media and similar platforms. Well, that’s a bit far from what it truly means.
It refers to all you post on your website, including blog posts, infographics, videos, and some online guides. Any content you post or share goes inside this type of marketing effort.
As long as the content is useful, it can lead to many cabinetry leads for your company, but you probably don’t know where to start.
Just take the time to share your knowledge and know what in specific you will share from it. Also, make sure you design content that can easily be found using specific keywords (SEO), which we will discuss later.
If someone searches online for cabinetry information and comes across your blog, it is more likely that they will remember you when they need professional help.
Without a doubt, you will be among their first options when looking to install new cabinets or regarding any other service in the field.
This is a great opportunity to offer special content that can continuously generate visitors, leads, and potential clients, and what you can do to make it possible is to set an option in which to gain access, you can ask site visitors to submit their email addresses or specific information you are aiming for.
This will enable you to increase your email list and to provide information to people who have expressed interest in your services.
You should also remember that consistency is the key to content marketing.
Consistently publishing content will help you build a relationship with your audience. You will be boosting search engines since they will be looking for your updates and other relevant information to rank you on the pages.
But what if you aren’t ready for content marketing or creating it? If you don’t feel comfortable writing or have the time, you can hire professionals to assist you.
You can find cheap writers through many freelance websites for very low rates.
Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, and similar freelance platforms can help a ton.
Email Marketing Is as Good as Before
It is often overlooked that email continues to be a top-notch method to generate leads.
Think about it: Who doesn’t use email for more information, contact formal companies, or just receive news? Do you even know someone? We don’t think so.
This is why a great way to get leads is to have an email subscription form.
This is especially true when you offer discounts and other useful content to your subscribers in return for their email addresses or when they receive them.
If you are willing to send your emails on a consistent basis, these people could become customers for cabinetry work and services.
However, it is quite easy to mess up this strategy, especially if you make the mistakes below:
- You are trying to sell your services all the time. Don’t try to sell them by email. Instead, give your leads useful information.
- You’re not using the correct tone. Emails, like all content, must be professionally written. Emails should be personal but not by using clickbait headlines. This will cause customers to abandon you instead of deciding to read and purchase or hire you.
- Your lead generation information is not included. If you want people to become clients, include a link to your website and an invitation to them to contact you with any questions.
You should include contact information, such as an email address and phone number, in addition to social media links.
Once you are done with your service, gather contact information from customers to ask permission to send emails.
It is easy to send useful content once you have a list. You can send a variety of emails but not too many. For example, you can send links to articles on blogs that offer helpful tips or discount codes for services.
A referral program can be created for customers who might be willing to give their emails in exchange for something free or a benefit.
Referring clients may also receive a discount to encourage them more people to your company.
Local Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Needs Attention
Search engine optimization (SEO) isn’t easy to grasp for people who don’t have any prior knowledge, which is why you might be having a tough trying to figure out how to work things out.
Now, what is it in the first place? It is the process companies and individuals use to optimize their websites to rank higher in search engine results for specific keywords and phrases.
Although there are many factors that can influence your rank, keywords are the most important.
With this in mind, what is local SEO? This is simply the option to focus on keywords and other aspects that are relevant to your area, city, or country.
Imagine that you are a cabinetry company in Florida. You can use keywords such as “cabinetry services in Florida/near me” to ensure your business is found through relevant searches.
Local SEO can help you generate more leads for the contracting business. The top cabinetry professionals and businesses use these techniques to rank higher in search engines’ results pages for their local area.
You can change the game by applying the same strategies but with better execution.
Market research is necessary to determine the most relevant keywords for your website and then optimize it accordingly.
It can be difficult to locate cabinetry leads for your company, especially if there are not many serviced offices nearby.
You can still attract new customers quickly by keeping in touch with existing customers, expanding your services, and possibly joining a bidding website.
Start by claiming your Google My Business listing. Update your profile to make sure your business hours, phone numbers, and directions show up on Google Search and Maps. You can also add photos and respond to reviews.
It is possible to establish relationships with bloggers and other influencers in your area who can link to your content.
This will allow you to attract qualified local traffic to your site to learn more about what your services are.
Cabinetry leads marketing campaigns that should inspire people to act are your goal.
They might be asked to complete a lead form, sign up for a trial period or subscribe to your email list. Your goal is to get them to take action. To do something.
How likely is it that they will do what you say? A lot, if you are smart about how you ask for it.
Quality calls-to-action (CTAs) can solve the problem at hand. However, they must also be effective.
Your CTA serves as a guideline to your customers about what they should do next. This is the “Submit,” “Sign up,” “Get My Free Proposal,” and “Try Now” buttons you’ve probably seen on numerous pages.
However, convincing someone to agree to your request and telling them to comply are two completely different things. It is up to you to convince them that it is in their best interest to click on your CTA buttons.
Your CTA should be an extension of your landing page. It should also be included to ensure leads are on the same page during the conversion process and stage.
For example, a call to action like “Request a Quote” is more meaningful than “Submit.” The “Request for a Quote” button basically indicates that users who convert will get something of value about your services since they are trying to access them.
Your target audience’s needs and problems will determine the right CTA to use on your landing pages or other pages.
If your landing page already addresses this issue or need, you can create your CTA easily. Consider this question: What would you do next if a potential client saw this page and liked it? The answer should be in your CTA to generate qualified leads.
Invest Smartly in Your Google Ads
These ads will help you increase traffic to your site and generate leads even when organic lead generation is the best key.
Google Ads can be a great addition to your business, regardless of what others say. You can still start with organic traffic, but eventually, the ads will be required and a huge boost for your strategy.
There’s one thing that people fear about when it comes down to these ads: the amount of money they will spend.
Google Ads, also known as PPC (Pay-Per-Click), can be a bad investment if you don’t take the right approach.
This strategy works best for cabinetry design services with a short sales cycle, high urgency, and low cost. It can also work for other niche businesses, but we are more interested in this one.
How can you manage this strategy? With giving you a few hints and steps:
- Google allows you to budget up to $1.500 per month. If you have the funds, you should reach this amount. If you do not have a budget, your ads won’t appear as often as possible. This is a requirement in highly competitive markets such as this one.
- Spend between 5-10 hours per month working with an agency to improve. An agency that charges low management fees may send you an automated report with no insights or strategic changes. You don’t want this but rather a qualified business that can provide results and answers.
- You can try different ad copies and find the one that works best.
- You can improve the conversion rate of clicks into leads by creating and refining landing pages.
Back to Content Marketing: High-Quality Blog Posts
A blog is a great way to increase leads for your company. However, the content must be high quality to get the best results out of your time and money invested in this strategy.
Content is a great tool for lead-generation strategies. We have already covered why in a previous strategy. But we want to make sure we are focusing on blogs a bit more due to the amazing results you can achieve with them.
But before getting there, we want to go over the content in specific.
Think about the primary purpose of your content.
Relationships are the foundation of blog content. These people will be likely to convert into customers or leads and then clients if you offer great content anywhere, especially in your blog.
Before you begin writing a blog post, reflect on why you are investing in it as a lead generation idea. Also, consider how it will be applied to your business. Answer crucial questions like:
- How can you solve the problems of your target audience with free content?
- Can these subjects be taught better by you than your competitors?
- Which are the most visited websites where customers of your target market spend their online time? Are they reading blogs? Joining LinkedIn groups? Google Search?
- Which would you prefer: 100 readers from your target market or 1,000 readers with a limited number of target customers? This will allow you to decide on the topics that you want to write about.
- Can you create high-quality content with your core competencies? If not, how can you attract the right people and make them work as leads?
Once you have all of this information and add some more, it will become easy to think up ideas for blog content and understand how the method works a bit better.
Remember Your Roadmap to Success
It is essential to plan, strategize, and work hard in order to run a cabinetry company.
For it, a roadmap can come more than just in handy.
But, what is a roadmap? This includes establishing your revenue goals, estimating the speed at which you can grow, identifying potential customers, and figuring how many people you need to scale.
You are already well on your way to establishing a successful and long-lasting cabinetry business in your area if you have leads calling you and sending you emails.
When you exceed your customers’ expectations and make people want to return for more, you build trust.
Trust is essential. If you want your customers to trust you, you need to think about your strategies and draw. Then, create a roadmap that takes you from the most important elements to the simplest.
It is more like a way to visualize your success and know what steps you should take (most likely) to achieve it.
The Local Lead Generation Process for Your Cabinetry Business
All right! So, everything is about building properties and generating leads. But how does the process actually take place? Are there other steps I need to know?
The steps I mention below are what students from our local lead generation program follow to generate leads for businesses like yourself. So I’ll help you see what we do. And how if you join our program, you can simply generate leads for your own business (unless you want to start a side hustle and build a laptop lifestyle business).
Essentially, our lead generation can be divided into four steps:
The first is prospecting. You need to take the time to do market research on a niche (industry) and determine how many phone-driven businesses are there.
Keep in mind that this is local research as you need to know how many companies need leads. For example, you may search for “plumbing services Youngstown OH.”
You will find dozens or even hundreds of businesses trying to get themselves in front of the customers by ranking on Map Listings, organic results, and even Ad.
The second step, building. When you find a niche (plumbing, tree services, a software company, real estate…), you will need to start building your digital properties. You don’t need to be an expert in HTML or coding. It can be easy with the right tools.
The third step is now taking time to rank your lead gen website. With the site done, you need to work on SEO strategies and start dominating those Google search results. If you’re new to SEO, it stands for Search Engine Optimization.
To keep it simple, it consists of the entire process of growing a company’s visibility on search engines like Google and generating organic traffic. And remember this, local lead generation is part of the strategies.
Moving on to step four, once you rank the site, you will start getting your ROI and profits. You only need to rent it out to a local business interested in the leads the site generates. You can offer a couple of free leads to their move on with the actual pay per lead.
To review steps 1-4 above, I described it to a normal student who is building a lead gen business to help local service providers generate more calls. But replace the student with you as the business owner. And replace sending the leads to a business to simply siphoning the leads to your personal business.
By the way, fun fact, about 20% of our students in our local lead gen program are actually business owners who went through the program. And they use the skillsets we teach to generate leads for their own business.
An Example of Lead Generation: Home Advisor
You must be thinking, “if lead generation sounds so good so far, how come I haven’t seen any company?” That’s the thing; there are many out there. You just don’t know they are dedicated to it.
HomeAdvisor is one of the best examples you can find on the Internet as it is a top lead generation company that has spent millions building its brand but also earned even more zeros for this same reason.
They started small as everyone else but invested in building their brand awareness to make people who are looking for home services go to their website and find what they need. They are over 75% of people’s first choice when they need those services.
If you don’t get HomeAdvisor that much or need a refresh, users need to submit their information to request a service and get a professional or expert who can provide it.
HomeAdvisor’s job is to share your information, which makes you a lead, with local companies so they can contact you and offer the service you’re requesting. For sharing this lead information, HomeAdvisor gets paid by the companies. This happens for every single lead they send to multiple businesses.
Business owners who don’t have marketing skills or don’t even know how to have any online presence will always rely on those pages to list their services. They will save time and effort, but companies like HomeAdvisor can make them spend lots of money as leads aren’t exclusive (one lead is sent to multiple companies after all).
Using Facebook Ads aka Paid Ad Platforms: Do They Generate Leads?
They DO generate leads. If not, no one would use them.
However, you need to remember two facts:
- Paid ads or platforms can be expensive.
- They don’t generate “natural” leads.
Whenever someone sees or clicks in one of those ads, over 80% of them did it by accident or are trying to close/report it.
Why? Because they aren’t looking for those services. At least not at the moment.
What those ads do instead is interrupt their time on the platforms. Users aren’t there to find companies or businesses unless they are searching for a specific company’s user, and for that, there’s a search bar. This is why it is hard to convert them to actual customers who will show interest in the companies’ services. Also, you’re limited by a budget.
When using lead generation, everything is organic. You aren’t forcing others to pay attention to your business but rather being there when they need you. This is why Google’s organic traffic will always beat paid ads, and the reason companies continue investing in it, which is a lot cheaper as well.
What Is Local SEO?
Don’t worry… I didn’t get it at first either. Following the short explanation, local SEO focuses on scaling businesses’ visibility on search engines. However, this is only for those who serve their communities face-to-face.
What does this mean?
Experts and professionals like painters, plumbers, and dentists (but not only them) offer their services to their local customers. Why? Because they can’t deliver them unless they are located in the same area of their customers.
To make sure those businesses get more leads, you need to rank them locally by claiming the business listing on Google to place them on Map Listings. Local SEO also involves online reviews, citation management, and how you manage your entire online presence in the local area.
If you are going to bet on lead gen, you need to adapt yourself to today’s world: The Internet.
Keep in mind that although traditional channels and methods like billboards, warm calls, and pamphlets still work, they aren’t part of your tools. Whenever someone needs a service, they go to Google and search for it.
“Dentist in Miami” or “plumbing services in Orlando,” etc. And you can keep coming up with services or professionals people need and look for. Thus, you need to make sure you’re using Google to get the companies in front of their clients.
Users will always click on the first search results (those near the top), and many of them will be either Ad links (people paid to place their websites there), Map Listing, and then you get websites. Almost all of them are your goal and where you should always aim to place yourself.
Can My Cabinetry Business Utilize a Local Lead Generation Strategy?
If you want customers, you better know you need it. Following the previous explanation, lead gen is all about placing businesses in front of their customers, choosing them over their competitors.
Put it simply – it’s all about closing deals and having clients for those companies to make money. The main difference with the usual methods companies use for this is how lead generation approaches different channels to get them in the right place of the market to get customers.
Those channels are all focused on the Internet as most people are searching for products but also services across the net. The issue is that the Internet is way too broad, and businesses don’t know how to place themselves. They usually try, but they get one common result: losing money and time.
How Powerful Are Organic Cabinetry Leads from Google?
For companies looking for customers, it’s everything. For you? Pretty much the same. When you build a business with digital properties, you get to make thousands of dollars a month.
This isn’t a “get started today and get rich tomorrow” thing, but it is HIGHLY scalable, and ROI + positive results are guaranteed. Learning a fairly decent and very needed set of skills to create your digital properties and start ranking them on Google is required.
I have invested in several online businesses over the years, and if there’s something uncertain, whether you will get your ROI or not, even more than the actual profit.
However, this business moved my earnings from five figures a year to a month in ONLY passive income while sitting comfortably at home.
On my laptop. Anywhere. Anytime.
You can look at one of the first sites I built back in 2016, and it continues making me over $1.000+ every month. The best part is that I don’t need to touch it or the rest I’ve built over the years, just like this digital property.
What Makes Lead Generation SO Alluring?
Here it goes: you can work from home.
The main issue with regular business opportunities is how much you need to invest in staff, equipment, or rent to have a place to sell your products or offer your services.
We all know the hassles of traditional businesses that involve regular expenses, which are extremely high. Can you afford it? I don’t think so, and even if you can, is it worth it? Now, it isn’t only about the money. You also need to put in a lot of work, and it isn’t only during the first couple of months or years. Usually, it is as long as you continue running it.
You can save yourself those headaches and bone-breaking tasks and expenses with lead gen since it is more about generating leads with digital channels—mainly websites.
Websites can be VERY cheap to build, and with many tools online, you get to do it in a couple of hours instead of days. Any virtual or digital business is scalable and won’t need constant maintenance.
So, let’s summarize this:
- You save money in regular expenses with traditional and most online businesses as what you need is yourself and digital properties (websites).
- You can bet on passive income.
- There’s no need to hire more people to get started.
- You can generate leads in multiple industries, which allows you to work on any niche you want.
